BACHELORETTE fans were convinced that Sam N. is the villain of season 21.

The California businessman angered some viewers.

Sam N. stepped out of the limo to meet Jenn Tran, 26, at the new Bachelorette mansion at the start of the Season 21 premiere.

She praised his stunning eyelashes, which producers revealed he curls.

“I’m a virgin… a love virgin,” Sam N. was quick to point out, later joking, “I’m a Jenn-telman.”

He then sat with others who arrived early, watching as his hopeful suitors continued to arrive.

While some competitors stuck to the traditional, others were clearly thinking outside the box.

A Bachelorette contestant named Brendan arrived with a handful of peppers, eating them one by one.

Thomas N. presented Jenn with a bracelet with his last name on it, telling her he hoped to make this season a “Nguyen win.”

Another contestant arrived on a stretcher with bandages on his face and no underwear, and yet a second appeared calling himself a “virgin of love.”

Although Sam didn’t say much after his entrance, fans were left predicting that he would be this season’s villain.

A Bachelorette viewer tweeted an old TikTok video the suitor shared on social media before appearing on the show.

The Bachelorette’s Jenn Tran reveals she was surprised by a suitor during her entrance – but admits she was ‘open to anything’

It showed him presenting an unidentified woman with a necklace.

“POV: Me watching her through the necklace I gave her in case we broke up,” the text in the clip read.

“Sam N. has been a villain to me since I saw this video on Bachelor Reddit,” the fan noted.

“I know that Sam [N] he’s going to be a villain, but from now on I’m attracted to him,” someone else posted on X.

“Sam [N]…something about him screams this season’s villain,” wrote a third Bachelorette fan.

“Sam has to go. Get him out of there IMMEDIATELY,” complained a fourth reviewer.

Fans will remember Sam N. from a preview of the new season of The Bachelorette.

In it, the two were seen enjoying a romantic date during which Sam asked Jenn an important question.

Jenn got down on one knee in the clip and walked away from her potential love interest.

“I want to show how serious I am,” he began.

In a confessional interview, Sam N. revealed that he has been waiting for this moment “his whole life.”

Jenn appeared to be holding back tears when she turned to see Sam holding a homemade sign that said, “Jenn, will you be my first girlfriend?”

NOT EXCITED

Sam isn’t the only aspect of Jenn’s Bachelorette season that’s drawing criticism.

While this season’s promises are historic, with Jenn being the first Asian Bachelorette, viewers were disappointed that Maria Georgas and Daisy Kent were not selected as this season’s leads.

Both women stated during podcast interviews that they were asked to lead the next season, but turned down the opportunity.

Fans discussed the new season before the premiere, with someone wondering“Is this the most anticipated season of The Bachelorette since Hannah B. was the lead?!”

“Man, this is the least anticipated season in years and years. It started when the public’s favorite didn’t accept it, now marketing is calm. I hope she surprises us all with a great season”, commented another viewer.

DRAMA AHEAD

Still, ABC has been hard at work promoting the next season of The Bachelorette.

A day before the show premiered, the network released a trailer teasing the tension between Jenn and some of the Bachelorette hopefuls.

“I’m going to do things my way,” Jenn said in the teaser.

“My love story is going to be crazy, chaotic and fun.”

The trailer showed Jenn getting frustrated with some of the men on the show, claiming they were “making decisions for her.”

“If someone is here for the wrong reasons, I will find out,” she said.

Jenn was a contestant on Joey Graziadei’s season of The Bachelor

She was sent home shortly before her hometown.

She was announced as The Bachelorette in March during the show’s After the Final Rose episode.
