Golden Bachelor Gerry Turner’s marriage to winning reality show contestant Theresa Nist has ended after just three months.
Amid the Golden Couple’s divorce, a Golden Bachelor fan favorite recently revealed that she had actually warned Theresa, 70, about jumping the broomstick with Gerry, 72.
Golden Bachelor’s April Kirkwood, 66, took to Instagram to comfort Theresa yesterday.
Theresa and Gerry announced on social media on Friday, April 12, that they were divorcing.
On Monday, April 15, Theresa thanked her fans for supporting her during her public divorce on Instagram.
“To everyone who has expressed love, support and kindness towards me, I thank you from the bottom of my heart. You are all wonderful human beings,” Theresa wrote in her post on Monday.

“It means a lot to me that you took the time to reach out to me, whether in person, by phone, by text, or by direct message. You are all very kind to do this.
April confessed in Theresa’s Instagram comments section on Monday that she was rooting for her during this difficult time.
“I wish you the best,” April said under Theresa’s post.
“I really tried to tell you, but this was your lesson to live by. Much love!”
‘I CARE FOR ALL WOMEN’
April’s comment sparked some reactions from fans, including comedian Dave Neal.
She eventually responded to a questioning commenter, standing by her initial statement in Theresa’s comments section.
“I care about all the women in the world. I want us all to learn from each other and be smart and empowered,” April wrote.
“Classes offer us the opportunity. We’ve all had our hearts broken… what we do about it is entirely up to us! Let’s rock this world, ladies. Teresa [sic] can lead the way!
MOST SINCERE APOLOGIES
The tone of April changed on Tuesday.
Today, the TV personality retracted what he said on Monday and issued a public apology.

“I would like to publicly apologize for my error in judgment. I honestly didn’t mean any ill will,” April wrote.
“I wish all women only peace and power to do their best. This wasn’t the only one for me. Much love and gratitude for understanding.”
While some fans weren’t open to April’s apology, she at least had some people who offered her kind words.
Golden Bachelor runner-up Leslie Fhima, 65, was the one who showered her with love.
“I love you my friend. I’m so happy to call you that,” Leslie commented. “You’re beautiful inside and out.”
