DANCING WITH THE STARS Peta Murgatroyd has given birth to her third child with her husband Maksim Chmerkovskiy.
The professional dancers’ third child is born just a year after they welcomed their son, Rio.

On Friday, Peta, 37, and Maksim, 44, announced they had welcomed their third child, a boy.
The DWTS notables are already parents to seven-year-old Shai Aleksander and Rio.
In a lovely Instagram publishPeta looked lovingly at the baby swaddled in a pink and blue blanket as Makism smiled at the camera.
In his caption, Maksim revealed that they will reveal more details about the birth in the future.
He said: “He’s officially been dumped from his mom and it’s sooo cute!!!!
‘Birth details later, but for now we’d like everyone to know that mom and baby are perfect and the birth took about 47 seconds in total!
“I would also like to thank everyone for the beautiful messages we have received. It means a lot and is greatly appreciated.”
‘PETA IS A CHAMPION!’
In the comments, many fans and a familiar face were ecstatic to hear the news.
Golden Bachelor alum Leslie Fhima wrote, “OMG!! Congratulations.”
One follower wrote: “Peta is a champion!!! I’m happy to know that the baby and mom are doing well. Congratulations for your son!”
“Okay, seriously… who looks so beautiful after giving birth? Peta…that’s who,” one fan swooned.

‘WISH US LUCK!’
Before welcoming his son, Maksim revealed that Peta would soon go into labor with an Instagram post.
He captioned the post: “Here we go again… again!” and included a photo of him and Peta kissing inside a hospital room.

Peta was already wearing a hospital gown in bed, while Maksim was dressed in comfortable clothes for the long day ahead.
“Wish us luck,” the excited dad continued before adding the hashtags “#number3cominginhot” and “#madeinPeta.”
In the comments section of the post, fans showered the couple with love and well wishes as they prepared to welcome their third child.
“Many blessings to you and your beautiful family!” one commenter wrote.

UNEXPECTED PREGNANCY
In February, Peta revealed to fans that she was pregnant in a video that captured her surprising Maksim with the pregnancy news.
During the video, the DWTS regular hinted that the pregnancy was unexpected.
Peta broke the exciting news with an Instagram post.
“Let’s have a baby,” the caption began.
“Yes, we know… we just had a baby… haha! This was very unexpected (4 months postpartum with Rio) but we are so happy and ready to be a family of 5 soon!” she continued at the time.
“Surprising [Maksim] on this FaceTime with my two friends secretly filming from different angles made it even more hilarious,” Peta explained.

“It took me an hour to get the courage to call him and when he didn’t understand, we all couldn’t stop laughing in the kitchen. I had the ‘I’m so sick’ story, pickles and 2 bottles HAHA Ah, Maks.”
The dance competition star concluded her pregnancy reveal by saying: “Thank you so much to [baby service Bobbie] for helping us shake things up and for being a part of this special announcement!
“After everything we’ve been through with miscarriages and IVF, we are beyond blessed and know we are so lucky for this miracle to happen to us.”
In a special message to fans, Peta added: “We are so happy to finally be able to tell you the good news.”
BIG REVELATION
The video showed Peta surprising Maksim with the pregnancy news during a FaceTime call.
Before making the call, Peta exclaimed: “He won’t know what hit him.”
“I just gave birth!” she added.
During the call, Peta acted calmly as she told Maksim she had been feeling “sick” all day as he prepared for a dance class.
The dancer joked: “I took a test”, but then covered it up by stating that she doesn’t have Covid.
Peta then told her husband, “I think we need to get out of Malibu and get a bigger house.
“I feel like we need another extra room,” she continued.
Confused, Maksim tried to end the call, but stopped when he noticed the star preparing two bottles of formula.
He asked, “Why are there two bottles? What are you doing?”
Peta showed him the pregnancy test and admitted, “That’s what I’m trying to tell you.”
Stunned, Maksim stated, “Honey, stop. No way,” before asking, “Honey, are you pregnant?”
Peta excitedly exclaimed, “Yes! I’m pregnant!”
She jokingly added, “Honey, we’re in trouble,” as Maksim emotionally admitted, “I’m so…I’m so happy.”
ROUGH PREGNANCY
In an exclusive interview with The US Sun, Maksim revealed that Peta was having a harder time with her third pregnancy than carrying her other children as she approached her due date.
During the meeting, Maksim was excited about becoming a father for the third time, even though he and Peta don’t expect to have another child anytime soon.
“We were told a long time ago, when we started having children, that it’s easier when they’re close in age because of schooling, clothes and things like that,” said the Traidores star before explaining what his bonding time with their eldest son for so many years as an only child strengthened their relationship.
“To be honest with you, we had an incredible time with Shai, our firstborn, and we were, again, stuck in a pandemic with a 3-year-old… dedicating a lot of time to just that one person.
“So our relationship with Shai as mother, father and son is very, very close because it was built with all the attention to this one,” Maks noted.
The Ukrainian dancer then shared that he hopes to create the same kind of closeness with his two youngest children, even if his attention is divided.
“I want to find the same way to make those connections and relationships with a tribe of people in the house. Let’s find out. They are so much fun,” the TV star added.
However, as Maks and Peta get closer to the birth of their child, the Broadway star admitted that her former DWTS co-star is not doing as well as she was in her previous pregnancies.
“Peta is going through a difficult time right now. She is [nearing the] finish line now, and [her belly is] too heavy for your body and structure. You know, this kid is a big problem,” Maks told The US Sun.
“Shai was a certain weight and height. Our second baby, Rio, is bigger in all kinds of standard measurements and everything. This kid, this third one, was supposed to be the biggest. star confessed.
Maksim and Peta began a relationship in 2012 – and called it quits several times before getting engaged.
The two announced their engagement on December 5, 2015 and were married on July 8, 2017.
Shai Aleksander was born in January 2017.
On June 18, 2023, the two welcomed their son, Rio. In an Instagram post, the two wrote, “Rio John Chmerkovskiy Born 6/18/2023, 8.6 oz and thriving!
“We are so happy to share our son with all of you.”
