AMERICAN Pickers star Mike Wolfe may not be leaving the History Channel series that made him a household name, but he has officially started a new show.

On July 15, Mike revealed that he has started his latest renovation project, restoring the old farmhouse he calls home.

Mike Wolfe posted a series of photos on Instagram showing his plans for the renovation, alongside photos of work already underway on the home.

“Today the journey begins at my old farmhouse”, he captioned the postsharing the news with his 508 thousand followers.

Mike has spent decades traveling across America, exploring artifacts, antiques, and national treasures in junkyards, flea markets, and resale shops, but he has also worked on expanding his growing real estate portfolio.

“I’ve been here for 4 years and I’m ready for this renovation. @tbbuilders615 is going to take this place to the next level,” he continued.

On July 15, Mike Wolfe revealed that he had begun work on one of his most personal projects to date, restoring his own home, a 1910 farmhouse.

Just before announcing the news on his Instagram grid, Mike also shared a video of the TB-Builders team busy working on his home on his Instagram Stories.

“I’m very simple, if I have a big balcony and a fireplace I’m happy.

Renovation plans for the home showcased a large porch and additional outdoor living area, but details about the home’s interior — including the fireplace — were not shown.

“This is one of the many projects I am doing now,” he added.

In recent years, Mike has turned his attention to purchasing, renovating and restoring older homes and businesses in Columbia, Tennessee, a small town 40 miles from Nashville.

“If you love old houses and buildings then you feel the same, it becomes an addiction,” he added, explaining why he was not satisfied with rehabilitating just one property.

“@thetypennington Who? Hahaha What’s up, friend?”

Ty Pennington is best known as the lead carpenter on the 2000s TLC home improvement show Trading Spaces and as the host of Extreme Makeover: Home Edition from 2003 to 2012.

He is also the host of HGTV’s Rock the Block and Battle on the Beach, two competition-style home renovation shows.

It’s unclear whether Ty will help Mike with his “old farmhouse,” although earlier this year the pair teased that they could be collaborating on some DIY projects in the future.

“Breaking news! My brother from another mother @thetypennington and I finally connected after all these years,” Mike wrote in a January 2024 Instagram post.

“He’s the Starsky to my Hutch. Conservation warriors on a mission to save small town America, be on the lookout for some nastiness,” he added, alongside the caption #movethatbus.

The now-infamous saying was popularized by Ty in Extreme Makeover: Home Edition, where he shouted the phrase before revealing a family’s new and improved home.

Mike’s restoration may have just begun, but it looks like major work is already underway.

The American Pickers host showed off a series of photos of construction underway at his home, with workers removing the home’s siding, placing ladders along the home’s exterior and setting up scaffolding.

Mike also included a photo of the proposed design for the home’s exterior, which included a large wraparound porch, dark green paneling, and an additional spacious outdoor living area.

MEET THE CAST OF AMERICAN PICKERS

American Pickers has had some cast changes, but the current season finds Mike Wolfe, Robbie Wolfe, Jon Szalay and Danielle Colby scouring the country for rare antiques.

Mike Lobo

Mike, an Iowa native, has been with the show since its launch in 2010. The star originally started the show with his friend Frank Fritz, who left suddenly in 2021 amid a feud with Mike.

Mike has a collection of business ventures outside of the show and also spends a lot of time with his model girlfriend Leticia Cline.

ROBBIE LOBO

Mike’s brother, Robbie, has joined the program on many antique hunts since Frank’s departure.

Just like Mike, Robbie has an antique store to run when he’s not on screen.

JON SZALAY

‘Jersey Jon’ only became a full cast member in December 2023, but has a lot of history with the Wolfe brothers.

According to his History Channel bio, the newcomer is a “longtime friend of Mike Wolfe.”

DANIELLE COLBY

Danielle appeared on screen with the team when the show began in 2010, becoming known as the charismatic store manager.

When ‘the Rust Queen’ isn’t hunting for antiques, she can often be found sharing raunchy burlesque videos on social media and performing shows across the country.

“It looks like a real restoration project!! We’re going to need a bigger bus,” Ty commented on the post, emphasizing the scale of the project with a crying-laughing emoji.

“Hahaha I’m living this during the process!” Mike replied.

Musician Scott Harris also agreed, commenting “This is going to be cool” alongside a raised hands emoji.

“Lemmie knows when that kitchen is ready, brother, and I’ll break it down for you!” wrote celebrity chef and author Matthew Jennings.

Mike thanked his fans and followers in the post’s comments and even answered some of their burning questions about the renovation.

Mike revealed that he will be living in the house, built around 1910, during the renovation, and is excited to bring it back to life.

He, however, remained silent when asked whether the restoration project would be filmed for a one-off special or an ongoing reality show.
