REALITY TV stars Drew and Jonathan Scott have developed a new show for HGTV and fans think they’ve seen it before.
The twin brothers are best known for starting the show The Property Brothers on network TV.
Drew and Jonathan, both 45, are back on HGTV with a new series called Backed by the Bros.
The 10-episode series will follow the brothers as they “give up complete control of renovations to advise developers, short-term rental owners and residential developers on high-risk investment properties,” according to HGTV.
Drew and Jonathan will be there with their knowledge and resources to help investors complete the home.
They will also decide between two properties and the one they choose will receive all the attention and help.

“We look for people who need our help to reach their full potential as real estate investors and from whom we can benefit most,” Jonathan told the channel.
“If we don’t think our services will be sufficient, we won’t support them.”
Drew said they have time, resources and reputation on the line for the new series.
“We are here to support, not to take the reins,” he added.
Backed by the Bros will premiere on June 5th at 9/8c central on HGTV and will stream at the same time on Max.
SEASON PREMIERE SNEAK PEEK
In the series premiere, Drew and Jonathan head to North Hollywood, California, for a busy renovation project.
The property already costs US$100,000.
The other potential investors have a detached garage in Burbank, California, that the owners want to turn into a rental property.
Only one property will be supported by the brothers, but both will receive consultation and advice from them.
“We want to help investors make the best choice possible, and we want to educate them along the way about what we’ve learned over the years,” said Drew.
“We made a lot of mistakes early in our careers in renovations and real estate,” admitted Jonathan.
He ended by saying that they wished they had a mentor when they started.

DOES IT REALLY SHOW?
Despite calling the new show something else, fans think it’s just like Property Brothers, just with a different name.
At Property Brothers, Drew and Jonathan helped you find, purchase, and transform your superior homes on a strict timeline and budget.
Drew was the real estate agent who found the homes and negotiated the renovations, while Jonathan was the one who fixed them up.
Property Brothers aired for 13 seasons in the US, the last being in 2019.
The brothers also have other HGTV shows that fans can watch on Max – Property Brothers: Forever Home, Brother vs. Brother and Celebrity IOU.
‘ENOUGH!’
Fans have pointed out that Backed by the Bros is a lot like Property Brothers and some of their other HGTV shows.
As soon as the new series was announced, fans shared their opinions on X, formerly Twitter.
“They basically do the same show, just with a different name except the celebrity,” one fan wrote.
“I’m just wondering. Do they have enough HGTV yet?” another asked.
“No more repeating the same show over and over again,” added a third.
