TLC star Jedidiah Duggar and his wife Katey revealed they are expecting twins.
On Thursday, the Counting On alum announced the pregnancy news, along with the babies’ gender, on Instagram.
Jed, 25, captioned the gender reveal post: “We have exciting news to share – we’re waiting! But we didn’t expect THIS!”
The 19 Kids and Counting star continued, “We are so happy to announce that we have twin girls on the way! As a twin, I am especially thrilled to welcome these double blessings into our family!
“The bond between the twins is truly special and I can’t wait to watch them grow and experience life together.”
The photos showed Jed, Katey and other members of the Duggar family celebrating their announcement at the gender reveal party.
Jed and Katey were photographed about to pop two black balloons containing confetti in the colors of the babies’ gender.
Jed’s father, Jim Bob Duggar, was captured recording the moment on his phone.
Beside Jim Bob, Jed’s mother, Michelle, looked giddy with anticipation as she waited for the balloons to pop.
The third photo showed Katey wide-eyed and mouth agape as pink confetti rained down on the happy couple.
Katey was seen smiling from ear to ear as she showed the ultrasound photos to Jed’s sister, Joy-Anna Forsyth, and other family members around her.
The final photo captured Jed and Katey kissing in their backyard as more pink confetti fell around them.
Jed continued in the post’s caption: “Our children, Truett and Nora, have no idea how much their lives are about to change with the arrival of their new sisters.
“We are excited to see their bond as the siblings grow and to see the fun and love multiply in our home! This new chapter will bring endless joy and shared adventures to our entire family!”
He added, “When we found out we were having twins, our excitement was overwhelming — especially knowing they would be the Duggar family’s first twin grandchildren.
“We appreciate all of your prayers and support as we prepare for this wonderful new part of our family’s journey,” Jed concluded.
