Jim Bob Duggar Reappears for First Time in Months in Jed and Wife Katey’s Twin Gender Reveal After Show’s Cancellation

JIM Bob Duggar resurfaced for the first time in months at his son Jed and daughter-in-law Katey’s gender reveal party.

On Thursday, Jed, 25, announced that he and his wife Katey are expecting twins in an Instagram post.

In photos from the reveal party, Jim Bob, 59, can be seen celebrating the news alongside his impressed wife Michelle, 57.

The 19 Kids and Counting alum also appeared on Jed and Katey’s YouTube vlog titled “We’re Having TWINS! Duggar Double Gender Reveal!”

The couple documented their ultrasound appointment, where they discovered they were having twins, along with their family’s gender reveal party.

Before the reveal, Jed went around the party asking each family member if they thought he and Katey were having a boy or a girl.

James, who already knew what the couple was expecting, refused to divulge the sex of the babies.

Jessa and Joy-Anna guessed that Jed and Katey were having a boy, not knowing that the couple would have twins.

Jim Bob replied, “I believe it will be a boy.”

“We currently have sixteen grandchildren and seventeen granddaughters, and we are about to have a boy,” he explained.

Jed captioned the gender reveal post“We have exciting news to share – we’re waiting! But we didn’t expect THIS!”

The 19 Kids and Counting star continued, “We are so happy to announce that we have twin girls on the way! As a twin, I am especially thrilled to welcome these double blessings into our family!

“The bond between the twins is truly special and I can’t wait to watch them grow and experience life together.”

Jed continued in the post’s caption: “Our children, Truett and Nora, have no idea how much their lives are about to change with the arrival of their new sisters.

“We are excited to see their bond as the siblings grow and to see the fun and love multiply in our home! This new chapter will bring endless joy and shared adventures to our entire family!”

He added, “When we found out we were having twins, our excitement was overwhelming — especially knowing they would be the Duggar family’s first twin grandchildren.

“We appreciate all of your prayers and support as we prepare for this wonderful new part of our family’s journey,” Jed concluded.

Earlier this year, Jill Duggar revealed one of her father’s shocking rules during an interview.

The Counting On alum had to follow strict rules set by her father Jim Bob and mother Michelle Duggar.

Her father’s modesty rules, which required women in the family to wear only long skirts and dresses without showing too much skin, also included a ban on social media.

Jill sat down to watch The Unplanned Podcast to discuss her family life.

She and her husband Derick have had no contact with Jill’s parents, Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar, since she criticized their upbringing in her memoir.

In a clip uploaded to Instagram, Jill revealed yet another modesty rule imposed on her and her siblings.

The television star revealed that she needed to keep six inches between herself and her then-boyfriend Derick at all times.

Jill originally explained that she started wearing pants, which angered her family, who thought she would lose her “salvation.”

‘SIX INCH RULE’

“So you guys had to keep one foot between you? No, I’m just kidding,” Matt asked jokingly before being interrupted.

“Fifteen inch rule,” Jill replied.

“Really? There was a six-inch rule? Could you hold hands?” Matt asked.

“Not until we were engaged,” Jill replied.

Jill married Derick in June 2014 and has since spoken out about Jill’s strict upbringing.

“And we didn’t kiss until our wedding day,” Jill added.

Derick went on to say that Jim Bob was exerting too much control over Jill.

He claimed that Jim Bob warned Jill not to tell anyone how much money they were making on the reality show in case they didn’t understand and judge them.

In the clip, Jill also claimed that the Duggar family has closed restaurants where children eat for free in their area.
