JON Gosselin has revealed how much money he made on John & Kate Plus 8 before leaving the show during his contract.

Jon & Kate Plus 8 ran from 2007 to 2009, but was renamed when the father of eight left following his divorce from Kate Gosselin.

Jon, 49, appeared in Domenik Nati’s show via live video on Thursday, July 18th.

The TLC alum made several surprising revelations, including how leaving his show early may not have been financially smart.

Hos Domenick asked, “How much money did you make from the show?”

“How much money do I lose?” Jon joked to the radio show host, “A lot.”

The host looked surprised when Jon explained, “I was sued. I was sued for quitting, so I lost a lot.”

‘THE CHILDREN DID WELL’

He went on to clarify that he actually made some changes to the series before quitting.

“You know, over seven figures,” he said.

Jon also revealed that his eight children may have benefited more from putting money into trust funds.

“The kids really had fun [well] although because everything was buried in funds for them.

“The most I made in a month from advertising and sponsorships – I actually made more money when I left the show.”

“I had a few months of $350,000.”

“That’s disgusting [income] however. That’s after taxes, I had some big tax bills.”

Jon continued to state that after he left the show, TLC “kept me from doing pretty much anything.”

“And I went back to IT, working a regular job,” where he now earns $80,000 to $100,000 annually.

JON & KATE… LESS JON

Jon appeared on the TLC show from 2007 to 2009, when he and Kate divorced.

The TLC series continued as Kate Plus 8 until its cancellation in 2017.

The series was retitled in 2010 and focused on Kate, a divorced mother raising her children, with Jon appearing less frequently.

In 2010, TLC settled a breach of contract lawsuit against the reality TV star.

TLC sued Jon, claiming he failed to fulfill his obligations as an exclusive employee of the network while appearing on rival networks’ shows for pay.

They also alleged that he made unauthorized public disclosures about the program.

PROPOSAL?

During the interview, Jon also talked about his girlfriend’s relationship with his family and ex-wife.

Despite not speaking to his ex-wife Kate or several of his children, Jon said that girlfriend Stephanie Lebo speaks to them.

He shared that he is getting ready to propose to his new partner, Stepanie.

This led to questions about whether all eight of their children – Maddie and Cara, both 23, and Hannah, Collin, Alexis, Leah, Aaden and Joel, all 20 – would be invited to the wedding.

The reality TV star responded that it would be up to Stephanie, 35, who would be in charge of the guest list, whether all the kids would take part in her big day.

However, Stephanie seemed to want to extend the invite, as he confessed that she regularly spoke to her twins and sextuplets.

“She is completely integrated into my children’s lives,” Jon shared of his future fiancé.

‘PARENTAL ALIENATION’

John also explained his current living situation, noting that two of his sextuplets, Hannah and Collin, live with him, while the others live with their mother.

John also shared that although his partner of almost a year speaks to his children, he currently only speaks to two of them.

“But my other children didn’t talk to me. Maybe it’s easier to talk to someone who’s with me but not with me,” the former TLC star theorized.

Jon also revealed that Hannah is the only one who talks to all of her siblings and often connects Stephanie with the rest of the family amid Jon’s estrangement.

“I know Steph talked to Kate, and I know Steph talked to my other kids, just through Facetime, through Hannah’s phone and stuff, and it all seems cosmetic.

He also accused Kate of parental “alienation,” saying she was responsible for the fight.

“I think maybe it’s parental alienation,” Jon said on The Domenick Nati Show. “You are influencing someone.”

“Some people just can’t be alone, so they will do anything or, if they have the means, they will influence their children or whoever is in their lives not to go with the other parent.”

“Under the scrutiny of everything that has happened, it may be easier for them to talk to a third party who is fully integrated into my life.”

Jon has been open about his strained relationship with Kate, 49, and their children, recently alleging that his ex-wife monitored his phones.

Jon Gosselin Relationship Timeline

Below is a timeline of Jon Gosselin’s partners since he rose to fame on the TLC series Jon & Kate Plus 8.

  • Jon married Kate Gosselin, mother of his sextuplets and twin daughters, in June 1999. Amid the reality show, Kate filed for divorce, which was finalized in December 2009. Kate was granted full legal custody of her children.
  • After a series of affairs, Jon started dating Liz Jannetta in 2012, which lasted for about two years. They even appeared on Season 4 of VH1’s reality show Couple’s Therapy to resolve their differences.
  • Jon’s next serious relationship was with Colleen Conrad, whom he had known since childhood. The former couple dated for around seven years before splitting in August 2021.
  • The TV personality moved in with his current partner, Stephanie Lebo, a few months later. They kept their relationship secret for a while before going public in August 2023 in an exclusive interview with The US Sun. Jon revealed that he and Stephanie were “very happy and in love.”

“It’s so difficult… And I don’t have a cell phone or contact details. But Hannah talks to them,” Jon said during an appearance on Brandi Glanville unfiltered podcast.

When Real Housewives star Brandi suggested that Kate “probably blocked your number on their phones,” Jon firmly responded, “She owns their phones.”

Last summer, Jon revealed how long it had been since he last communicated with his children.

“I haven’t spoken to Mady and Cara in, oh, I don’t even know, over a decade. And then I haven’t spoken to Joel, Aaden, Leah and Alexis in five years.” he told ET.

“At this point, they are adults. So, I mean, I don’t even know their phone numbers or stuff.”

As for his status with Kate, Jon recently discovered that their years-long battle over their children and finances was over.

Kate sued her ex-husband in March 2018 for more than $132,875 in back child support payments.

However, the case was thrown out of court in November 2023, and the Kate Plus 8 star’s appeal was unsuccessful.

“To say Jon is relieved is an understatement — he spent a lot of time, money and emotional energy fighting Kate and it’s finally over,” the source said.
