Leah, 24, and Rob, 25, had a great connection during the start of Love Island which left a lasting impression on fans.

Earlier this week, Rob opened up about the former couple’s relationship in the Love Island villa, telling host Alex Cooper, 29, that they remain friends.

Leah reached the end of the show alongside her partner, Miguel Harichi.

Leah moved on to Miguel after Rob started hooking up with other women – including bombshell Andrea, who was quickly eliminated.

However, Leah admitted that she was deeply hurt by some of the comments Rob made about their relationship on the show, including that he felt “no sexual chemistry” with her, which Rob denied ever saying.

“All the bad things I thought about myself literally boiled over in my head,” Leah said.

“I have never felt so embarrassed in my life. I felt so unwanted, so disgusting.

“Literally every bad thing I thought about myself was confirmed in that moment.”

Leah said she didn’t know why Rob said those words, asking why he would say that specifically about a woman.

“I feel like it took me a while to get to a place where I’m like, oh, I feel good about myself and the way I look,” she said.

“I’m very critical of myself. And I think it made me, I don’t know, I think it made me feel really bad. I’ll just tell you this.”

ROB OPENS

When discussing his relationship with Leah, Rob told Alex he was content to be friends.

“The whole world wanted you to end up together. Would you try to make this work in the real world?” Alex asked the reality star.

“I think after all, we’re going to be amazing friends and I think I’d rather just focus on that for now,” Rob replied.

“I love being around her. She’s an amazing person. So funny. I’m laughing the whole time I’m with her normally.”

“I think we’re great friends and this is a great place to be [in] and I’m happy with that,” he added.

Rob also noted what a “great guy” Miguel is and said he “loves” him.

Although the two may not have worked out in the end, Love Island fans were rooting for their undeniable chemistry.

“I want Rob and Leah together again. The chemistry is too raw, I’m sorry!” one viewer wrote on X earlier this year.

“I’m rooting for Rob and Leah. Like, why can’t they just be together?!?!?” another asked.

“We have a lot of similarities, our jokes are the same. She understands my silly side. She understands me for who I am. She took me away [with] how amazing she is.”

Although Miguel and Leah made it to the final episode, they didn’t take home the $100,000 grand prize.
