LISA Vanderpump and Gordon Ramsay set the Food Stars winner up for success — and left her red-faced in the process.

A triumphant Jess Druey was crowned season two champion of the Hulu show with the wine company she created during lockdown, impressing the superstar judges.

Jess’s Whiny Baby – which is a bespoke wine delivery service – blew away the competition with her business acumen and entrepreneurial skills, raising a tasty $250,000 to help your company enter the market next level.

The 26-year-old Californian innovator was already a huge Vanderpump fan and said working with Lisa was an “amazing experience” that lived up to all her expectations.

But what she didn’t anticipate was being equally impressed by the arsonist. cooking supremo Gordon, who called the program a “business boot camp.”

You would think that two such hard-working and no-nonsense business owners would incessantly hammer into competitors the importance of professionalism at all times.

The truth, however, was a little different.

“Gordon and Lisa said I didn’t need to be so polite,” Jess told The US Sun.

“They asked me to let them into my personal life a little more. That was one of the lessons I took away from the show — it doesn’t have to be all business all the time.”

She says the aggressive and powerful duo told her that giving customers a peek behind the curtain and showing their personal side can really help a business grow.

Jess’s entrepreneurial spirit has a natural personal touch, encouraging people to try to rediscover “connections and sparks of joy in everyday life” that have been dampened during the nightmare of the COVID-19 pandemic.

This was music to Lisa and Gordon’s ears – but the pornographic jokes and choice words were still circulating.

“They work hard, play hard and are not afraid to be themselves,” continued the proud winner.

“They’re also cursing up a storm. They have a rather crude sense of humor.”

Jessica, however, couldn’t stop smiling as she told The US Sun all about working with Lisa.

Just being on his team was enough. But the lessons learned will last a lifetime.

The reality TV star was impressed with her work ethic while being completely driven and, most importantly, completely dedicated to Earth.

“She told me a million times that she’s a maximalist and I think it was just an affirmation to stay true to herself,” continued Jessica, who was a huge Real Housewives of Beverly Hills fan.

“Extravagant women, especially, can appear in these business environments authentically as themselves. I think in the past, in corporate environments, I’ve kind of spread myself thin, and that’s a big lesson for me.

“You know you watch someone like Lisa Vanderpump succeed. She’s never done that.”

In addition to her television shows, Lisa Vanderpump has owned 30 restaurants around the world.

And she promised more food content with her new Fox show, Future Food Stars with Gordon Ramsay.

On the show, Lisa faces off against her colleague Gordon as they each select entrepreneurs from the food and beverage industry to join their teams.

“We did it because it was very competitive,” she exclusively told The US Sun in May.

“It was his team against mine and I don’t give up lightly.

“There was a lot of energy there and it was tough – we were basically mentoring young entrepreneurs – but it’s a little difficult, but we got the job done and that’s all I can say.

“You have to watch until the end, but I love Gordon Ramsay.”

She said Gordon was a “total tough cookie,” but when the tough love predictably arrived in some expletive-filled speeches, it came with a purpose.

Jess stood up to the celebrity chef while being questioned by the Brit, which impressed him.

And she also criticized some members of her team, which was right down the street from the fiery restaurant owner.

She remembers watching him work his magic in the kitchen was “mind-boggling” and it was easy to understand why.

“What I learned from Gordon is that if you show him that you can share, he really respects that,” Jess added.

“I wasn’t afraid to push it and be cheeky and have fun with it. But he’s exactly what he seems. The man is like a real rock star and a professional.”

What led Jess and Whiny Baby to success was Lisa’s interest in the wine trade.

Her Vanderpump wine has been on the market for a long time, so seeing someone else step into her shadow was extremely advantageous.

Whiny Baby has already added 20 states to its portfolio, with retailers like Target and Total Wine showing interest.

“Lisa understood from the beginning,” she said with a smile.

Now, with Lisa’s investment injection and assistance secured, the only way forward is for Whiny Baby and its owner.

“Having a woman who understands my vision is very important,” she concluded. “I’m so lucky that Lisa believes in me.”
