BELOW Deck star Aesha Scott has added another field to her resume beyond her reality TV routes and yachting experience as she launches her new passion project.

The reality TV star spoke exclusively to The US Sun about her new drinks brand, DROP, which launched on Friday, and its connection to her role as Chief Stew on the latest season of Below Deck: Mediterranean.

While Season 9 of Med had fans glued to their television screens with returning cast member Captain Sandy Yawn, 59, trying to whip her somewhat experienced crew into shape, Aesha, 31, is focusing on another big move. in The Mystique’s career.

During her interview with The US Sun, Aesha admitted that her job on the ship is even harder than it seems on TV, as she struggles to keep her crew in line.

“I find it challenging to be on a new boat, as someone who has been in the industry for nine years,” Aesha said of her promotion to the boat’s chief stewardess.

However, the role prepared her exponentially to take charge of her new venture as the owner of her alcoholic beverage, DROP.

FINDING YOUR PASSION

The New Zealander revealed how the brand came to fruition, although it was almost a completely different product.

“At the time, I was planning with some people in the United States; We were in the process of working on a bikini line and an activewear line, and there’s a part of me that doesn’t like that,” the Bravo star confessed about the moment she was first approached about launching a beverage brand last summer.

“Because I’m like, oh my god, every vanilla influencer does this shit. It was something I wasn’t that passionate about,” Aesha said about the clothing lines.

Despite encouragement from others to stick to the initial plan, Aesha was eventually led in the other direction after being approached by an Australian craft brewer, Moon Dog, to collaborate.

Moon Dog produces what soon became 8% alcohol coconut water – the only type of this drink currently on the market in Australia – and Aesha was immediately sold on being part of it.

I’m the chief steward of the lower deck and the demands the rich guests make are crazy

“They approached me and said, ‘Hey, have you ever been interested in creating your own drink?’ And as soon as I read that, I thought, ‘Oh my God, yes, because I love this!’” the TV personality recalled.

“I love sitting in the sun with my friends, tasting something delicious, laughing and having fun. And as soon as I read that, it caught my attention so much more than bikinis and activewear, because this was something I felt like I could pursue and would be genuinely passionate about,” Aesha added.

The I’m A Celebrity, Get Me Out Of Here alum spoke to The US Sun about her upbringing with the brewery and what she felt set it apart from other celebrity brands.

“I didn’t want to make a seltzer or something like that where there’s already a billion of them. I wanted to do something new,” Aesha explained.

Who are some notable Below Deck cast members?

Below Deck airs on Bravo. The reality show, which takes place on a superyacht and follows the crew, has three spin-offs, Below Deck Mediterranean, Below Deck Down Under and Below Deck Sailing Yacht. See a full list of some notable cast members below:

The socialite also mentioned the high percentage of alcohol in each can, saying, “I wanted something where I could buy a four-pack, and all I need is a four-pack, and that will last me all afternoon.”

While a liquor brand isn’t the move some fans were hoping for from the Below Deck star, who rose to stardom after debuting in the franchise in 2021, it’s not too far fetched that his responsibilities will be at sea.

Aesha started as third stew on Med before rising to chief and became the first chief stew on Below Deck Down Under, which premiered in March 2022.

“I’ve been a flight attendant my entire career so far, making drinks for other people and serving drinks, and [my fiance] Scott too. He has been a bartender. He spent all of his 20s serving drinks. And so, it’s this incredible moment of, like, how cool if we could serve people our own creation?” said Aesha.

FALL RELEASE

Aesha’s dream came true over the weekend when she hosted a star-studded DROP launch party at Moon Dog in Abbotsford, Melbourne, Australia.

The event featured 350 guests, including several Australian celebrities such as radio personality Woody Whitelaw, comedian Lizzie Hoo, actress Debrah Lawrence and professional athlete Adam Cooney.

Photos from the party showed off the cheerful side of Aesha that fans are familiar with, as they captured her smiling and laughing with her guests.

She also visited a local store that sells DROP and posed for a photo next to a display of the drink’s two flavors: original and peach.

The brand is currently only available in Australia, but Aesha is already looking to the future and hopes to bring it to the United States soon.

“It’s something I’m genuinely proud of. And I’m so passionate about it. And it’s something I want to shout from the rooftops about how amazing it is!” Aesha shared.
