REAL Housewives of New Jersey has been put on pause by Bravo following the disaster season.

The season 14 finale is scheduled to air on August 4, followed by a non-traditional cast reunion episode the following week.

Once the reunion episode airs, RHONJ will go on hiatus.

“Filming probably won’t resume until 2025,” a source told Daily Mail.

The source continued: “There won’t be any decision on what will or won’t happen with the show until early next year.

“There will be no more RHONJ filming until the end of the year. There is nothing planned. It’s frozen.”

The current cast, which includes Teresa Giudice, Dolores Catania, Jennifer Aydin, Melissa Gorga, Margaret Josephs, Danielle Cabral and Rachel Fuda – as well as friends Jackie Goldschneider and Jennifer Fessler – is extremely divided.

With ratings hitting a “new series low” this season, the cast is worried about whether they will return to the series.

“Everyone is waiting to find out what will happen”, revealed the source before ensuring that rumors that part of the cast has already been fired “are not true”.

Viewers of the series may not object, and in fact may be encouraging, to the departure of some cast members from the series.

On X, formally Twitter, a fan posted: “These three single-handedly ruined this show. #RHONJ,” and included photos of Teresa’s brother Joe Gorga, his wife Melissa, and Margaret Josephs.

They continued: “They can’t air a single scene without mentioning Teresa Giudice.

“None.”

“Please stop rewarding terrible behavior and FIRE THEM @Andy @BravoTV“, begged the fan.

Another wrote: “I wouldn’t say this season was unprecedented, it was a total dumpster fire and most #RHONJ the seasons are. In fact, it’s kind of par for the course.”

END OF THE ROAD

“Casting for the new season won’t be decided anytime soon. Casting isn’t something Bravo is rushing into. It won’t start to take shape until next year,” the source told the Daily Mail.

They added: “However, there are some cast members who are less likely to return than others, based on certain events that happened last season.

“But for two or three cast members, this could be over for good.”

COOL FACES

The source explained that Bravo “is actively looking for new Housewives, not just in NJ but for other franchises as well. They are always looking for new talent to get higher ratings.”

The latest episode of RHONJ drew just 589,000 viewers — a “new series low.”

When asked why everything is on hold, the source admitted, “I don’t think they know what to do.

“They don’t know what to do because it’s almost like a puzzle where you’re trying to put together pieces that make sense and there are very few pieces of that puzzle that make sense to the viewers at the moment.”

A second source revealed to DailyMail that producer Andy Cohen isn’t “ruling anything out” when it comes to what’s next for the long-running reality show.

“It could be a cast shakeup with just a few cast members returning, it could be a reboot or RHONJ could be canceled completely — nothing is off the table,” the source revealed.

They continued: “Bravo has not set a timeline for resuming filming because literally no one knows what will happen and it will take some time to figure out the next steps.”

FREE THEM

Earlier this week, during an episode of Sirius XM’s Andy Cohen Live, the topic of the RHONJ recast came up.

Andy, 56, confirmed that Bravo is considering changing the cast for future seasons.

A live caller agreed, saying, “I think it’s time to do what happened in New York. Bring in some new faces,” referring to the recent cast shake-up on The Real Housewives of New York.

“There’s all the negativity,” the caller added. “Free them. Let them move on to the new.”

The caller added that RHONJ’s newest cast members, Rachel Fuda and Danielle Cabral, have brought a new aspect to the group.

“We’re restarting the show,” Andy interjected.

“Let’s restart it. We’re going to do something different,” he continued before telling the fan, “We’re going to figure something out.

“We’re all on the same page about this.”

A few days later, Andy clarified his comments after shocking viewers about a ‘reboot’.

“I was just riffing,” the radio host confessed.

“We’re going to reimagine the show in some way, and I was like, Yes, we’re rebooting.

“I wasn’t…definitely saying it would all be new faces,” he joked.

READY FOR CHANGE

Cast member Melissa Gorga agreed that a cast change is necessary when she told Entertainment tonight during the premiere of Divorce In The Black, “I agree with Bravo that there needs to be change.”

“I agree with that 100 percent. I think things got really toxic,” she admitted.

“Whatever Bravo decides to do is fine with me,” she said before adding, “I don’t make demands. I come to work.”

“I have a really strong relationship with the show, so I feel like whoever they decide to cast – or not – I’m fine, on my own path, with my own family and my own kids, and I’ll deal with it when I have to deal with it. that,” she concluded.

bye, bye, meeting

While fans had always hoped for a reunion after the season ended, in June it was revealed that the Season 14 cast wouldn’t have one.

This bold move marks the first time a reunion has been removed from RHONJ’s schedule.

Real Housewives Franchises

Over the past few decades, there are currently 10 versions of Real Housewives.

“The women were notified by production this week that a traditional reunion would not be happening this season amid the divisive state of the show,” a source said. Page six.

Fans shared their thoughts about the abrupt changes on social media.

“The cast doesn’t want to fix things or get together to talk about the season and find a solution,” one fan wrote.

“I’m out,” said another. “I hope the husbands get their own show.”

Speaking with RHONJ’s Teresa Giudice on Andy Cohen Live, the famous host said the finale is “kind of a reunion and ending rolled into one.”

“Yeah,” she said. “Pretty much everything I had to say, everyone will see this season.”
