Although she has been in this position in previous installments of the franchise, it doesn’t seem to have gotten any easier, especially as she oversees the work of the new team members: Second Stew Ellie Dubaich, 28, and Third Stew Bri Muller, 24.

Aesha spoke exclusively to The US Sun about her experience working with women, who she claims are “not the most competent” at their jobs.

“I feel like, so far, people have started to get a little frustrated with me,” admits the New Zealander, referring to some claims on social media that she is too soft on girls when addressing her mistakes at sea. .

Now more than halfway through the season, fans have watched Ellie and Bri struggle to live up to Aesha’s standards and put aside their differences to focus on their featured guests on each charter.

‘I’M TRYING TO OPERATE A BOAT!’

Ellie and Bri have repeatedly argued over their duties on the ship, and most recently came to blows after Bri wrote a “burn book,” apparently highlighting the mistakes of her fellow crew members.

They also disagreed when Bri expressed interest in the lead sailor, Joe Bradley, 27, who happened to be Ellie’s crush.

The ninth episode ended on a cliffhanger, with Bri demanding that she no longer work with Ellie after reaching her breaking point.

“I’m trying to steer a boat. As you can see, my girls aren’t the most competent. So I’m doing triple the amount of work I actually need to do. And I’m so busy with that that I don’t have time to get involved in all your sorry shit,” Aesha told The US Sun.

However, Aesha revealed that she will eventually rectify the situation in a way that she thinks will please fans.

“I think people are getting frustrated with me for not giving Ellie what she deserves. But I can say that, in the end, I give Ellie what she deserves,” the TV star promised when referring to how her co-star treated her. new role as Second Strew.

Aesha further teased about the remaining episodes: “I get a little more involved and it gets more and more tense, but in a really fun way.”

It wasn’t long ago that Aesha was in a supporting role when she started on Below Deck Med as Third Stew.

After gaining experience, she had her first performance as Chief Stew on Below Deck Down Under in 2022.

At the beginning of the interview, the DROP beverage owner spoke about the challenges of constantly working with a new team.

She confessed that it would be great if Bravo “could stick with the same girls” in the cast, but acknowledged that’s not likely.

Aesha instead tries to lead by example and expects her subordinates to “watch” her actions and follow suit.

“I don’t really take breaks and I think, as most people know, I always try to be kind and respectful,” Aesha said of her work ethic.

“I’m finding this challenging for someone who has been in the industry for nine years. So Ellie and Bri must be finding it doubly hard to be greener, and it’s a new bar,” she sympathized.

Other Below Deck Med cast members include chef Jonathan Shillingford, bosun Iain Maclean, head deckhand Joe, and deckhands Nathan Gallagher and Gael Cameron.

Below Deck Med airs Mondays at 8pm on Bravo and the next day on Peacock.
