THE Bold and the Beautiful is bringing back legendary villain Sheila Carter just months after her apparent death.
Sheila (played by Kimberlin Brown) was stabbed to death by her daughter-in-law Steffy Forrester (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) in February.
It has now been revealed that the dead woman was not Sheila, but her former accomplice, Sugar, on sister show The Young and the Restless.
Sugar was played by daytime legend Robin Mattson in the mid-2000s and later by Kimberlin after her character underwent plastic surgery.
Sheila’s return has been teased on The Bold and the Beautiful for the past two weeks.
Kimberlin has now confirmed that the CBS daytime drama executive Bradley Bell arranged her shocking return.
“I didn’t expect that to happen, honestly. I’m very, very happy that he chose to bring me back,” she said. Deadline on Monday.
“I really thought it was gone. It was kind of a roller coaster for me, and I’m so grateful that roller coaster is back on the rise.
“Sheila is my happy place. Getting that call asking if I would consider coming back was one of the best calls I’ve ever received in my life.
She admitted it was a “hard pill to swallow” when she was told her character was being killed off and suspected her return might have something to do with the support from her fans.
“I definitely saw the reaction. The fans were going crazy. They were exploding,” she recalled.
The daytime star said the messages of support she received from viewers “brought her to tears.”

Kimberlin added that she had to keep her return to set completely secret, even using a fake name in the studio.
“I parked in the back where no one could see me,” she said. TV Insider.
“They didn’t call me Kimberlin when they called me to the set, my name is Dana, and everything was kept secret, quiet.
“I was asked to keep a secret and I’m definitely the person who could do that. I know how important that is for a plot when you want to surprise your audience.”
Sheila was killed off during the February 29 episode.

However, on April 5, the villain’s grieving fiancé, Deacon Sharpe, noticed that the corpse that was about to be cremated had 10 toes.
Sheila only had nine fingers, having cut off one in 2022 to convince Johny Law that she had been eaten by a bear.
Deacon’s suspicions were confirmed in the April 29 episode.
Earlier this month, Tanner Novlan, 36, joked that Sheila could be revived on the show.
Tanner, 37, plays Dr. John “Finn” Finnegan — who is Shelia’s biological son and Steffy’s love interest.
He talked about how many times Sheila survived seemingly fatal situations.
“Sheila had nine lives, didn’t she?” he said TV Insider. “You never know. Keep watching.”
Kimberlin began playing Sheila Carter on The Young and the Restless in 1990 and reprized the role on the spinoff in 2017.
