A BANNED episode of the Australian children’s show Bluey that outraged parents has been released around the world.
Fans of the show love the “hilarious” episode, which is available to watch for free on YouTube.
Bluey has become a fan-favorite series around the world. Created and released on ABC in Australia, it also airs internationally on Disney+.
The series follows the Heelers, an adorable family of dogs living in Australia. Bluey takes the lead alongside her mother Chilli, father Bandit and sister Bingo.
Even though the show now has three extra-long seasons, fans were still thrilled to discover that a previously banned episode was available to watch online.
What is baby daddy about?
Bluey’s episode Dad Baby was banned in the UK and US and was not shown on Disney+.
It should have been the thirteenth episode of the 2nd series, but it was replaced by the episode Army.
The progressive episode flips gender roles in a playful way as it shows Bluey’s father Bandit pretending to be pregnant with her sister Bingo.
It all starts with Bingo finding his old pram and asking his father to demonstrate it.
After Bandit traps Bingo in the transporter, Bluey turns it into a game.
“You’re pregnant with baby Bingo, so you have to pretend you’re pregnant!” she tells her father.
Playing along, Bandit says, “Alright, if we’re going to do this, let’s do it right.”
He starts complaining about pain in his back and feet, before realizing how heavy Bingo really is and starting to feel real pain.
This doesn’t last long, however, and by the time the seven-minute episode ends, Bandit has “given birth” to Bingo in a kiddie pool with the help of Bluey, along with Lucky’s father, who was able to “see the baby crowning” in a dot.
The episode is now available to watch on Bluey’s official YouTube channel. It has been streamed more than a million times since its release earlier this week.
Bluey Fans Think Dad Baby Is Hilarious
Bluey fans were quick to share their appreciation for the cartoon’s all-new episode.
What’s on Netflix, Disney+ and Amazon Prime?

Taking to X, formerly Twitter, one fan said: “This episode was banned from airing on TV here in the US but now it’s on YouTube haha it’s amazing.”
“Pregnant dad is a riot. Lucky’s dad singing Hey True Blue while keeping one ear on the cricket while delivering a baby is hilarious. Bingo announcing ‘I was born’ killed me,” praised another.
A third commented: “Last night we watched the Dad Baby episode…OMG it was sooooo funny. I especially loved Bingo being a bit naughty and trying to stay on the papoose, but also when she was eating dim sims, hilarious. I love bingo.” (sic)
Bluey writer Joe Brumm loves the Dad Baby episode as much as the fans.
He told The Hollywood Reporter that there’s always a careful balance about which stories are appropriate for the show’s young audience.
“You have to be very careful in preschool. There are two categories [of things that won’t fly],” He explained.
Continuing, Joe said, “There are things that can hurt a child and I rarely have a discussion about it. The other is more a matter of taste – it’s what’s appropriate and what’s offensive.
“So definitely a lot of words need to be changed, and then behaviors and concepts become numb. And eventually I would hit these walls and sometimes say, ‘Look, I can’t change this. This is very funny.’ Or ‘I like it too much’.
“And then we would say, ‘Well, we’re just not going to show that entire episode or that scene or that sequence.’
“Some of them, like Dad Baby, for example, are not shown in America. But what are you going to do, not make the baby daddy? I love that.”
More Bluey episodes are on the way
The launch of Dad Baby on YouTube comes after creator Daley Pearson confirmed that more episodes of Bluey are on the horizon – and they’ll be longer than usual too.
The series 3 finale, titled The Sign, was the first of these extended episodes. At 28 minutes long, it was almost three times the length of a regular episode of the cartoon.
And Bluey might not be restricted to just TV either.
“We would love to do a Bluey movie,” Daley also joked. “It’s no secret that this episode is something of a test of how the audience will behave.”
Dad Baby is available to stream on YouTube now.
