The character, first played by James Read from June 6 to October 10, 2018, was the father of Dr. Hamilton Fin and Detective Harrison Chase.

Later, the actor who played Gregory was replaced by Gregory Harrison, who has played the character since 2020.

During his last appearance, Gregory died in his sleep from heart failure caused by ALS.

During a touching scene, Gregory’s son Hamilton went to see his father, unaware of his passing.
