GENERAL Hospital’s executive producer revealed that a fan-favorite character will return in new episodes.
While details are being kept under wraps for now, producer Frank Valentini said fans will be excited for the actor’s return to the ABC soap opera.
Frank made the announcement on ABC 7’s On the Red Carpet Friday night during the 51st Annual Daytime Emmy Awards.
General Hospital, which has been on the air since 1963, had just taken home its fourth consecutive win for Best Daytime Drama Series.
“A former cast member is returning and I think audiences are going to go crazy… for him,” Frank revealed.
PLACING BETS
Fans are wondering which character will return to Port Charles this summer, with guesses including Jonathan Jackson as Lucky Spencer, Bryan Craig as Morgan Corinthos, and Jack Wagner as Frisco Jones.

“Of these six options, I bet on Frisco Jones. As much as I would love for Jonathan Jackson (Lucky) and/or Morgan to return, I highly doubt it,” wrote one person on X, formerly Twitter.
“I would love for it to be Jonathan Jackson (Lucky),” wrote a second.
“Have hope [praying hands] It’s Lucky or Nathan West!!!” wrote a third.
“Morgan Corinthos Return, please!!! But I think it could be Frisco, because he’s helping Mac’s character… Reiterating that I want Morgan Corinthos back!” a fourth exclaimed.
“I hope the return is SPENCER!!!” another said.
Although many fans expressed excitement, some were still skeptical about the news.
“Unless it’s someone fans have been screaming for to return for years like, oh, Morgan, then yeah, we’ll love that, but given how they refuse to listen to fans, my guess is it’ll be someone who We don’t care and it will be a huge disappointment, as always, we’ll have to wait and see,” someone tweeted.
News of the cast member’s return comes as General Hospital’s Devon Ogden, who played Barb, has just wrapped up his short run on the drama.
Barb hooked up with Finn, played by Michael Easton, during last week’s episodes.
NEVER FORGOTTEN
This also comes just weeks after the show lost one of its actors, Johnny Wactor, who was shot in a Los Angeles parking lot on May 25.
