A General Hospital alum has hinted at the possibility of returning to the daytime soap after the producer’s recent tease.
Bryan Craig, who played Morgan Stone Corinthos on General Hospital, wrote a questionable tweet that left fans hopeful for his return.
Last week, the show’s executive producer Frank Valentini said that a former cast member would return for the summer season.
He announced the news on ABC 7’s On the Red Carpet night during the 51st Annual Daytime Emmy Awards, where the show secured its fourth win for Outstanding Daytime Drama Series.
“A former cast member is returning and I think the public is going to go crazy… for him,” said the executive.
It didn’t take long for General Hospital fans to guess who might be returning, with Bryan topping some fans’ lists.

On Wednesday, he he responded to a news story on X, formerly Twitter, discussing the return of the next character.
“Who could it be……” he replied.
NOW WE ARE HYIPED
Bryan was on the show from 2013 to 2016, when his character, Morgan, was apparently killed in a car bomb – although his body was never found.
In 2017, he returned to the show for a cameo appearance by appearing in Ava Jerome’s dream.
Fans of the soap opera, which has been on the air since 1963, went crazy at the idea of the character’s return.
“Ughh… Don’t tease us and get your hopes up,” one person responded to his tweet.
“I loved Bryan Craig from day one on GH? I was so upset he was leaving so I hope it’s him,” said a second.
“Are you trying to tell us something, Bryan?” asked a third.
“Bryan, I hope you’re not teasing us. Would love to see you back on #GH,” wrote a fourth.
“Well I hope it’s Morgan because we fans have been screaming for years to bring Morgan back because he’s a fan favorite character so I hope we finally get Morgan back after all these years,” said another about Bryan’s GH. character.

NARROWING
After hearing Frank’s initial announcement, fans speculated which other character could be returning to Port Charles.
Along with Bryan, some think it could be Jonathan Jackson, who played Lucky Spencer, or Jack Wagner, who played Frisco Jones.
“I would love for it to be Jonathan Jackson (Lucky),” one person recently tweeted.
“Have hope [praying hands] is it Lucky or Nathan West!!!” added a second.
“I hope the return is SPENCER!!!” a third exclaimed.
Despite the excitement, some viewers are also worried that the return could lead to disappointment.
“Unless it’s someone fans have been screaming for to return for years like, oh, Morgan, then yeah, we’ll love that, but given how they refuse to listen to fans, my guess is it’ll be someone who we don’t care and it will be a big disappointment, as always, we have to wait and see,” one person wrote.
The character’s return comes after the General Hospital family has dealt with some losses in recent months.
Actor Johnny Wactor, who played Brando Corbin, was shot and killed in a Los Angeles parking lot on May 25.
One of the show’s first stars, Robyn Bernard, was also found dead in an open field in California on March 12.
