John York, famous for his role as Malcolm “Mac” Scorpio, returned to General Hospital in Wednesday’s episode.
The actor made his first appearance as a character in the soap opera in 1991.
On GH’s official X, former Twitter account, they shared a screenshot of Mac smiling and hugging his family tightly.

In September, he revealed on social media that he was diagnosed with myelodysplastic syndrome and smoldering multiple myeloma.
These two forms of cancer affect the blood and bone marrow.
During his time there, he said he underwent chemotherapy and was lucky enough to find a bone marrow donor.
“It’s just a little pocket of blood and fluid,” he explained.

“And here we are back to work.”
