A GENERAL Hospital alum has announced his return to the show, and fans are freaking out.
Jonathan Jackson revealed that he would be returning to Port Charles, New York as fan-favorite character Lucky Spencer soon.
Jonathan announced the news of his big return to General Hospital on X, formerly Twitter.
“I’m going back to General Hospital this summer!
“Excited for the journey to continue,” he wrote.
The soap opera star also shared a video explaining her feelings on her big comeback.

He said: “I’m super excited and can’t wait to see what’s happening in Port Charles.
“I just wanted to thank all the fans over the years. Your persistence and love certainly played a role in all of this.”
Jonathan spoke about his excitement to see the entire cast and thanked the producers for bringing him back.

JONATHAN TIME ON THE SHOW
The TV star began his role as Lucky in 1993 and is the son of Luke (Anthony Geary) and Laura Spencer (Genie Francis).
In 2011, he stepped down from Lucky and left the soap opera to star as Avery Barkley on ABC’s Nashville for six seasons.
After Jonathan dropped out, actors Jacob Young and Greg Vaughan played Lucky.
During his time on GH, Jonathan was nominated for nine Emmy Awards and took home five in 1995, 1998, 1999, 2011 and 2012.
Over the course of his acting career, he starred in Tuck Everlasting (2002), The Deep End of the Ocean (1999), Camp Nowhere (1994), and Venom (2005).
At the 2024 Daytime Emmy Awards, GH executive producer Frank Valentini teased a beloved character’s big return.
“A former cast member is coming back,” he revealed to WABC7.
“I think the public will go crazy for him.”
