ANOTHER actor has left beloved soap opera General Hospital just a month after another fan favorite said goodbye.
The actor made the announcement on his Instagram page on Wednesday.
“I always liked the Irish goodbye,” said Michael Easton in his publish.
“That’s when you leave the party without telling anyone you left. But I thought you all deserved better. So I just want to let you know that I just finished filming my final scenes here on General Hospital.“
“I’ve loved every minute I’ve been here. I want to thank the entire cast and crew for allowing me to share their stage for the past 10 years. Most importantly, I want to thank all of you for the kindness and love you’ve shown me and my family that I will never forget you,” he continued.
“And as I leave here for the last time, and with apologies to Lou Gehrig, I feel like the luckiest man on earth.”

He then passed through the studio for the last time in silence.
Michael has played Dr. Hamilton Finn on General Hospital since 2016.
He did not explain why he was abandoning the soap opera.
Before GH, Michael was on Days of Our Lives from 1990 to 1992, where he played Tanner Scofield.
He was on the daytime soap opera Port Charles in 2000 until the show’s closure, and then starred on One Life to Live until 2012.
Michael was originally on General Hospital in 2012, but left in 2013 due to a contract dispute.
He then reprized his role in 2016.
Michael’s co-star Nancy Lee Grahn, who plays Alexis, commented on his post and said she will miss working with him.
“The class, grace and elegance you did is why I will miss you every day,” she wrote.
Its final episode is expected to air soon, according to Soap opera summary.
Most importantly, I want to thank all of you for the kindness and love you have shown me and my family. I’ll never forget you.

‘IN TEARS’
Michael’s followers cried upon hearing his announcement.
“I’m crying. I will miss you so much. You are a wonderful actor and an even better human being. Port Charles will not be the same without you,” one fan wrote.
“I’m crying right now! Michael, you’ve been a part of life for a few decades now. Of all the various characters you’ve played, I’ve liked every single one of them. My favorite will always be John McBain,” wrote another.
“Dude, General Hospital is making a huge mistake letting you go,” a third added.
“I don’t know what’s going on at GH, but they’re making a huge mistake by losing so many phenomenal actors!” said another.
“I hope this is temporary,” said another.
“It better just be for a few months,” said one Instagram user.
MOVING
Michael isn’t the first General Hospital actor to leave the series this year.
Nicholas Alexander Chavez, 24, announced on X, formerly Twitter, his departure in May.
He played Spencer Cassadine on the soap opera.
“I am so grateful for the opportunity GH has given me and I wouldn’t be as busy as I am professionally if it weren’t for the talented producers, writers, directors and fellow actors,” Nicholas wrote.
Nicholas gave fans hope by telling them that he and the executive producer discussed his future on the show.
“While there are no current plans for my return, we are still talking openly about future possibilities for Spencer in Port Charles,” he said.
Nicholas was last seen on the show in January.
