BOLD and the Beautiful star Ted King has announced plans to return to the beloved soap a year after stepping away.
The 58-year-old actor took a break from daytime TV to film Oppenheimer, which won an Oscar.
Ted will reprise his role as Jack Finnegan, a criminal defense lawyer, according to People.
The actor will return to The Bold and the Beautiful in a cameo role.
The episode will air on Monday, July 1st.
In the episode, Jack will have a surprise meeting with his ex-wife, Dr. Li Finnegan (Naomi Matsuda).

CAST CROSSOVER
Lauralee Bell, who plays Christine “Cricket” Blair, and Michael Damian, who plays Danny Romalotti, are leaving the series.
Their departures are not permanent, however.
Lauralee, daughter of series creator William J and Lee Phillip Bell, began playing Christine on the series on July 15, 1983.
She was 15 years old at the time.
She had several recurring stints on the show in 2005 and 2006 before returning to the show full-time in 2010.
Lauralee has appeared in over 1,600 episodes and celebrated her 40th anniversary with the show in July 2023.
Her character is a model turned lawyer.
Meanwhile, Michael has also been a fixture on the show, first appearing in 1981.
After starring on the show until 1998, he later returned for several year-long stints between 2002 and 2004, 2008, 2012 and 2013, and 2022 and 2024.
His character, Danny Romalotti, is a longtime rockstar who happens to be dating Christine.
Despite fans’ initial disappointment at the actors’ departure, most viewers were thrilled to discover that they would only appear in two episodes of The Bold and the Beautiful before returning to The Young and the Restless.
The crossover episodes were created by Lauralee’s brother, The Bold and the Beautiful executive producer and head writer Bradley Bell.
“We are all very excited,” said Lauralee Us weekly of the intersection.
“What we’re doing is very authentic to the story,” she continued.
“[Bradley] saw we were doing something on Y&R and he thought it would be great for B&B.”
“Of course he was going to do a show in Los Angeles and that’s how the idea came about,” she added, discussing Michael’s character on the show.
Michael also expressed his excitement about the new show, retweeting several media reports about the news.
“Let the party get started,” he wrote on Twitter, adding a dancing man emoji, confetti and other celebratory icons.
“This is so exciting! I can’t wait to watch it! I’m so excited about the crossover! Amazing!” one fan responded.
During the crossover, Christine and Danny “are invited to a party at the Forrester Estate celebrating the successful relaunch of Brooke Logan’s ‘Brooke’s Bedroom’ fashion line… or so they think,” a synopsis reveals.
“Little do Danny and Christine know, Brooke and Ridge have invited them to launch a new business venture.”
“Not to be left behind, Danny decides to put on his own surprise performance to share with partygoers.”
