GENERAL Hospital took a brief hiatus this week, with no new episodes airing on July 4th.
The updated schedule comes as many General Hospital viewers are excited about the soap opera’s plot.

While the ABC drama typically airs a new episode every day, fans will now see a midweek repeat.
Due to the July 4th holiday, the network will re-air the episode aired on July 7, 2023.
The earliest episode comes after fans watched episode 209 of season 61 on Wednesday, leaving many excited for what’s to come on the soap opera.
NO TIME FOR A BREAK!
In a teaser shared on General Hospital’s Instagram page before its airing, many viewers discussed the current plot and said they wanted to see more.

The clip showed Sasha offering Kristina and Blaze advice on how to deal with a public scandal and Alexis confronting a vengeful Ava.
“Can’t wait to see more, Maxie Ava is so bad,” one person wrote.
“Ava will get what she deserves,” guessed a second.
“I’m looking forward to Tracey confronting Natalia about the recording!!” said a third.
“Damn, I can’t wait until 2pm,” said a fourth after seeing the clip.
“I’m loving this story, Port Charles x Ava Jerome,” added another.
“Sasha and Cody’s story needs more time than Blaze. It’s getting tiring”, thought another person.
DEPARTURE OF MICHAEL
Others commented that they missed Michael Easton, 57, on the show, who recently said goodbye to his character.
“The struggle is real, please find a way to bring Michael Easton back, I really need him on GH,” someone wrote.
Last week, the actor announced that he was officially leaving the show after ten years.

Michael, who played Hamilton Finn in the soap, made the shocking announcement on Instagram.
“I always liked the Irish goodbye,” he wrote in his publish. “That’s when you leave the party without telling anyone you left.
“But I thought you all deserved better,” he added. “So I just want you to know that I just finished filming my final scenes here on General Hospital..“
Although he did not explain why he abandoned the soap opera, he said he was the “luckiest man on the face of the earth” to have had the opportunity.
Michael wasn’t the first General Hospital actor to leave the series this year, as Nicholas Alexander Chavez announced his departure in May.
Nicholas played Spencer Cassadine, who was last seen on the show in January.
Although General Hospital recently said goodbye to some of its actors, two characters are also expected to return.
Jonathan Jackson will reprise his role as Lucky Spencer, and Bryan Craig recently shared that he plans to return as Morgan Stone Corinthos after eight years.
