GENERAL Hospital has lost three cast members and viewers are not happy.
Fans called the cast change a “big mistake,” but two of the soap’s departing actors may not be gone for good.

On Monday, the latest “comings and goings” of the soap opera cast were reported by Soap opera summary.
The network revealed that General Hospital actress Scarlett Fernandez, who plays Charlotte Cassadine, has exited the series – for now.
Charlotte returned to town last week but quickly left alongside her father Valentin, played by James Patrick Stuart.
With Valentin Cassadine fleeing Port Charles with Charlotte, the character’s actor, James Patrick Stuart, will be absent from General Hospital for the foreseeable future.

Well versed in the character’s history, Soap Opear Digest joked that fans shouldn’t expect Valentin to stay away forever.
Last week, Jake Webber, of Hudson West, accepted his father, Jason’s, offer to pay his tuition to attend an arts school in Spain.
While the character may be off-screen for a while, General Hospital sources assured the network that Jake’s absence is not permanent and that the long-running series has no plans to recast the character.
In response to the casting news, one fan wrote: “On General Hospital they are making a huge mistake with the actors leaving.
“We would love for Nina, Ava, Natalia, Blaze, Kistina and Anna to leave permanently. Just to name a few.”
“I’m fine with everyone on the show. If they’re not needed for a while or have contracts and can do other shows or a movie and be off screen for a while, who are any of us to complain? replied another.
A third person commented: “I can understand if the actors have other projects to work on. I just hope Hudson West returns.
“We lost Cameron and Spencer, at least for now, I would hate to lose Jake too.”
“I certainly hope Hudson West returns as stated,” a fourth agreed.
They continued, “I seem to remember GH stating that William Lipton (Cameron) was only leaving temporarily and would return, but never did. He showed up at Spencer’s funeral, but left immediately afterwards.”
CASTMATES RECEIVED
The son of Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) and Sam McCall (Kelly Monaco), Danny Morgan, played by Asher Antonyzyn, appeared in this week’s promo – and he didn’t look happy.
Carolyn Hennesy as Diane Miller is back on the Port Charles scene, appearing in several episodes this week to address various legal matters.
Barre Johnson will play new character Pentonville Warden, sharing scenes with Anna in his debut.
FAN PREDICTION
Last week, General Hospital fans weighed in on which fan-favorite character could return after seeing Friday’s teaser.
The ABC soap shared a trailer for its newest episode, and viewers were eager for LuLu Spencer’s return after her 2020 exit.
With Lucky Spencer’s return to General Hospital this summer after leaving in 2015, some are hoping his sister will also appear on TV screens again.
The trailer showed Dante Falconeri, LuLu’s ex, telling his ex-mother-in-law, “By coming to see you, I’m doing more harm than good.”
Some viewers wondered if the two potentially paid LuLu a visit.
“Sonny and Jason bond. Great bond between them! Lulu, come back, Ava needs to fall,” one person commented on the teaser.
“Bring Lulu back!!” a second written.
“Bring Lulu back and let Dante come back to her,” pleaded a third, while a fourth similarly wrote: “Bring Lulu back!!!”
“I hope Lulu comes back!!” a fifth wrote.
“My guess is Lulu will come back,” said another.
Someone else replied: “Lucky is definitely coming back, I hope they bring Lulu back too.”
THE RETURN OF LUCK
It was revealed in late June that Lucky Spencer, played by actor Jonathan Jackson, would return to General Hospital after a nearly decade-long hiatus.
“I’m super excited and can’t wait to see what’s happening in Port Charles,” he said in an Instagram video.

The actor has played Lucky, son of Luke and Laura Spencer, since 1993 – winning five Daytime Emmy Awards along the way.
END OF AN ERA
Lucky’s return comes after General Hospital actor Michael Easton revealed he was leaving the series last month.
“I always liked the Irish goodbye. That’s when you leave the party without telling anyone you left,” Michael said in an Instagram post. video.
“But I thought you all deserved better. So I just want you to know that I just finished filming my final scenes here on General Hospital,” he continued.
Michael went on to thank the cast and crew of the daytime soap opera, also making an ode to the fans created over the years.
“And as I leave here for the last time, and with apologies to Lou Gehrig, I feel like the luckiest man on earth,” he concluded.
Michael has played Dr. Hamilton Finn on General Hospital since 2016.
