GENERAL Hospital brings back a fan favorite to stir up drama in Port Charles.
The cast change comes after fans admitted they had “turned off” from the struggling soap opera.
On Monday, Soap opera summary revealed that General Hospital fans will see two characters returning to the show.
Asher Antonyzyn’s character Danny Morgan reappeared on this week’s show promotionbut he was not happy.
Danny is the son of Kelly Monaco’s character Sam McCall and Steve Burton’s character Jason Morgan.
Additionally, fans will see the return of Diane Miller, played by Carolyn Hennesy.

According to the outlet, she will return for several episodes this week to address various legal matters.
Bored fans
Although General Hospital welcomed back fan favorites to shake things up in Port Charles, fans expressed being “tired” of the same storyline.
“I literally stopped watching for over a month. After watching yesterday, I got bored for a while. The stupidity of Sonny and Jason’s stories is more than I can handle,” admitted one fan on Instagram.
“Ready for change. Big change. This whole thing is so drawn out and stupid,” wrote another.
Fans also demanded that the show hire new writers – preferably younger ones.
“Get some young writers,” wrote one fan.
“Cates’ storyline is tired. I started watching it again since 2013 and the storyline isn’t as fun as it was back then.”
Another said: “The writers ruined this show.
“They let go of some good actors to have some who shouldn’t be here. I can’t watch this show anymore.”
NEW FACE IN THE CITY
In addition to Asher and Carolyn’s return to the show, General Hospital fans will see a new face in Port Charles.
Actor Dutch-Barre Johnson took on the role of the series’ new character, Pentonville Warden.
