Christopher will play Alan Laurent, a psychiatrist who has a history with Eileen Davidson’s character Ashley.

Their paths crossed while Ashley was in Paris and Alan’s reappearance was supposed to help Ashley in her healing process.

Ashley was struggling to get over the end of her marriage to Tucker McCall, played by Trevor St. John, which left her with flashbacks, mood swings and voices in her head.

Christopher’s latest role came after a vast career in television.

The star has previously been on General Hospital, where he played Dr. Kirk, Superintendent Bob Harris on Glee and Ted Beneke on Breaking Bad.

Ashley’s trip to Paris was at the center of the last season and the character returned to try to retrace her steps.

She seemed to be losing her mind, but it could be due to her ex Tucker’s meddling.

No one in Paris would offer Ashley help when she returned to the cafe to try to find out if something had happened to her.

Christopher’s character, Alan, works in mental health and is believed to help Ashley clarify her situation.

He is believed to appear in several episodes after his April 30 premiere.

Eileen spoke to Hoje.com about her character’s latest venture.

“It’s almost like an exorcism because as they’re peeling back the layers, trying to figure out what’s going on, it’s like she’s reacting to it, almost like an evil spirit is pouring water on her,” she says.

Eileen first appeared on the show in 1982 and has been a regular on the show ever since.

ASHLEY’S PROBLEMS

Ashley returns home one night after going to a Parisian café, but doesn’t remember anything, which leaves her worried.

Her friends and family encouraged her to seek professional help after she began exhibiting erratic behavior.

Ashley was diagnosed with dissociative identity disorder (DID), which involves “two or more distinct personalities controlling your behavior at different times,” according to the Cleeveland Clinic.

These will be things the public has never seen

Eileen described Ashely’s different personalities and how they are presented.

“(One of them is) really hitting hard and she’s mean. She goes for the jugular and starts mentioning how (Ashley’s brothers are) saying these things about her because they’re jealous of her and how they’re bitter because she was their father’s favorite. She really gets down and dirty. It’s going to be something the audience has never seen.

“Mrs. Abbott, the first one we meet, she’s kind of a destroyer, like a femme fatale. But you see her kind of metamorphose into someone who is scary,” Eileen explained.

Another is “younger and more innocent” and the third is “very seductive, very sexualized,” Eileen explained.
