OVERALL Hospital fans have begged for a writing change amid massive complaints about the show’s plot.
The show shared a preview of what’s to come on the hugely popular soap opera, and critics are ready for the change.
General Hospital shared a tense scene from Friday’s episode of the show on Instagram.
It showed a dramatic confrontation, which some fans loved and others ended.
Those who complained about the program were extremely vocal in the comments, criticizing the writing.
“Why did you bring in this other actor as Jagger?!? Once again, you are telling us another story that will last forever and goes around and around, with no end in sight,” complained one critic.
“These new writers were let go after just a few weeks, hoping the old writers’ scripts will arrive soon,” shared another hopeful commenter.
“These stories are so different from their characters that it’s bizarre; especially Willow. Soon, we will see GH that differentiates itself from other soap operas and wins Emmys. Frank Valentini must be excited to have his old, excellent writers back,” lamented a third.
“What is it with Molly and TJ and the totally unrealistic reaction to her not saying anything about the baby. Do they want the whole story to go out into the world? Well, I rarely have anything negative to say about this show, I love it, but this was just unrealistic and stupid,” someone shared.
“I don’t get it – the ratings are so low because the show revolves so much around Carly and Sonny and yet it’s getting worse and not better? Stunt castings are not going to help fix this bizarre imbalance,” a fifth person posted.
Other commenters complained that the stories were “bizarre” and “dragged.”
I HAVE TO GO
Fans have been receiving a number of complaints about General Hospital recently.
In addition to criticism about the writing, some called for one star in particular to be fired.
After ABC shared a preview of an earlier episode of the show, several social media users declared that it was time for the writers to fire Special Agent John Cates (Adam J Harrington).
Agent Cates, formerly Jagger, was introduced to General Hospital viewers in the 90s.

Casting agitation
General Hospital recently underwent a major cast shakeup, with the show’s creators bringing back two fan-favorite characters in an attempt to revive ratings.
The characters of Asher Antonyzyn, Danny Morgan and Diane Miller, played by Carol Hennesy, returned to the soap opera universe.
In addition to reviving the characters of Asher and Carol, the series also introduced some new faces.
It has been announced that Dutch-Barre Johnson will make this debut as the new warden of Pentonville Prison.
He previously appeared on the show as an extra in 2006, returning again in 2012.
