The fourth season of Apple TV’s hit drama, based on the popular spy series, will be available to stream this fall.
Apple TV+ has revealed that the next series of Slow Horses will return next month, on Wednesday 4th September 2024.
The show is based on Mick Herron’s series of novels, which center on a group of disgraced MI5 agents who have been exiled to a place called Slough House.
Nicknamed the “Slow Horses”, they are led by the seemingly over-the-top Jackson Lamb (played by Gary Oldman).
However, Jackson Lamb and his Slow Horses are repeatedly forced to show that they are still capable of handling dangerous missions.
Season four begins with a bombing that detonates personal secrets, shaking the already shaky foundations of Slough House.
The fourth series is adapted from “Spook Street,” which is the fourth novel in Mick Herron’s CWA Gold Dagger Award-winning “Slough House” spy series.
The fourth season has six episodes in total and will premiere globally in September.
The first two episodes will be available to watch, followed by a new episode weekly, every Wednesday until October 2, 2024.
The BAFTA-winning series stars Oscar winner Gary Oldman.
Gary stars as Jackson Lamb, the brilliant but misanthropic leader of the spies, who end up in Slough House due to career-ending mistakes as they often find themselves tripping over the smoke and mirrors of the spy world.
The returning cast also includes Oscar nominee Kristin Scott Thomas, BAFTA Scotland winner Jack Lowden, Saskia Reeves, Rosalind Eleazar, Christopher Chung, Aimee-Ffion Edwards, Kadiff Kirwan and Oscar nominee Jonathan Pryce.
SAG winner Hugo Weaving, BAFTA winner Joanna Scanlan, IFTA winner Ruth Bradley, Tom Brooke and James Callis join Slow Horses in season four.
Slow Horses is produced for Apple TV+ by See-Saw Films and adapted for television by Will Smith (“Veep”).
Jamie Laurenson, Hakan Kousetta, Iain Canning, Emile Sherman, Jane Robertson, Julian Stevens, Douglas Urbanski, Gail Mutrux, Graham Yost and Will Smith serve as executive producers on the series.
