PALM Royale star Kaia Gerber admitted she was saddened by her character’s devastating turn in the series’ season finale.
Kaia, 22, played a manicurist who works at the Palm Royale social club named Mitzi in the 10-part Apple TV miniseries.

In the season finale, Mitzi revealed to Kristen Wiig’s character Maxine Dellacorte, who took her under her wing during the show’s first season, that she was pregnant.
The ever-supportive Maxine told the young nail technician: “If you’ve always wanted to be a mother, it’s not complicated. You go there and tell that man he needs to marry you.”
The only thing is, as Maxine would soon discover, Mitzi was not pregnant by fellow socialite Dinah Donohue’s husband Perry as she thought, but was pregnant by her husband Douglas, played by Josh Lucas.
When asked about Mitzi’s affair with Douglas in an interview with The Hollywood ReporterKaia revealed: “I was very sad because I, Kaia, love Kristen so much.
“I could never imagine hurting her. And Mitzi loves Maxine so much. So creating the relationship that we created and having the connection that we had on the show made it even more devastating to know what was going on.”
The Bottoms star continued, “But at the same time, I believe that their friendship is real and that Mitzi cares deeply about Maxine, and that Maxine cares deeply about Mitzi.
“I didn’t want the affair to get in the way of their friendship – of course it does – but I wanted all those moments to feel real, because I really think they were real.”
“So it was a matter of trying to figure out a way in which both of those things could be true,” she concluded.
TWINNING
Last month, Kaia left fans stunned with her appearance during a late-night television appearance.
The American Horror Story actress was said to look identical to her mother Cindy Crawford, who dominated the fashion scene in the 80s and 90s.
Kaia appeared on Jimmy Fallon’s Tonight Show to promote her role in Palm Royale, available on Apple TV.
The up-and-coming film and TV star donned a form-fitting strapless blue dress that clung to her curves.
The model left her brunette hair lightly combed and wore a full face of natural makeup.
In a video clip posted via Instagram, Kaia discussed her first acting role, a performance of The Wizard of Oz at the local community theater.

Kaia joked that her first role was Tree Number Two, which made her upset because she wanted to be Tree Number One.
Jimmy then took a photo of Kaia when she was 10 years old dressed as a tree.
“Your mother, the great Cindy Crawford, who we love…she’s the coolest,” Jimmy told the audience as he reached under the table to retrieve the photo.
Kaia told the audience that her mother was in the stands between them.
“Yeah, she’s here, nervous, watching somewhere, ‘Hi mom,'” Jimmy replied.

The audience burst into applause at the mention of Cindy.
Fans flooded the comments with admiration for the mother-daughter duo and were also amazed by their resemblance.
“They look crazy,” wrote one follower.
“She has her mother’s spitting voice,” commented another.
“She should be adopted, she has no resemblance to her mother,” commented a third fan, jokingly.
A fourth person said: “She is the spitting image of Cindy. Beautiful.”
Kaia is the daughter of Cindy and businessman Rande Gerber.
Rande and Cindy have been married since 1998 and share Kaia and a son named Presley, who is also a model.
FAN CONCERNS
Kaia worried fans earlier this year when she posted several photos of her vacation in the Swiss countryside on Instagram.
“Beautiful St. Moritz with my family @omega,” she captioned the post.

Behind her were the glorious Swiss Alps as she clutched her bag and hand to her chest.
In one of the photos, a close-up selfie, Kaia revealed that she suffered a nosebleed.
A napkin was placed on his face to prevent blood from running from his lips onto his clothes.
Fellow actress Natasha Lyonne expressed concern in the comments section.
“Worried about a bloody nose. Is this an altitude situation? Kind regards, an elderly woman with vague connections to St. Moritz,” she jokingly wrote.
“I think it was a system overload caused by seeing the Alps for the first time. However, the laboratories are still operational,” Kaia replied.
