ONCE AGAIN, Blake Shelton followed Miranda Lambert with Gwen Stefani.
Only this time it was on the Academy of County Music awards stage.
Just moments after Miranda debuted her new song Wranglers at the ACM awards, Blake, who is Miranda’s ex-husband, grabbed the spotlight by performing his new duet Purple Irises with his current wife, Gwen Stefani.
The moment did not go unnoticed by fans of X, formerly Twitter.
Gwen stunned in bright purple pants and a purple ribbon top, in an obvious reference to her music.
Blake kept it cool in an all-black jacket and shirt, with jeans.
“Blake Shelton singing a love song duet with Gwen Stefani in front of his ex-wife…Bold,” one person noted.
“They performed within minutes of each other, so they definitely met backstage. That must have been so weird and uncomfortable,” noted another.
“Blake Shelton hasn’t been the same since he ruined what he had with Miranda Lambert,” one person shared.
While another countered, “Blake Shelton going from Miranda Lambert to Gwen Stefani could possibly be the biggest update ever.”
BLAKE AND MIRANDA
Blake was still married to his first wife when he recorded a duet with country star Miranda Lambert.
At the time, she was engaged to country singer Jeff Allen McManus, but the chemistry between her and Blake was instantaneous.
“I knew he was married,” Miranda confessed in 2011. “I knew he wasn’t. Like, that’s off limits.
“I didn’t know what to do with it. It was, like, my first duet with some other country star, and I didn’t know if it was just butterflies from that. . It was just an attraction to each other.
“I’ve never had this kind of experience with anyone,” Blake revealed during an episode of VH1. Behind the music. “I was a married guy, you know? Standing there singing with someone and saying, ‘Man, this shouldn’t be happening.'”
But it happened, and the two got married in May 2011 in Boerne, Texas.
Blake Shelton and Gwen Stefani Timeline

Blake, 47, and Gwen, 52, began dating in 2015 after meeting on the set of the NBC reality show The Voice.
Both had just come out of long, failed marriages.
After a five-year relationship, the celebrity couple got engaged in 2020.
The Hollaback Girl singer announced her engagement on social media as she showed off her glittery hand as she kissed her husband.
Blake also shared the same photo on Instagram, writing, “Hey Gwen, thanks for saving my 2020… And the rest of my life… I love you. I heard a YES!”
Less than a year later, on July 3, 2021, the couple tied the knot in an intimate ceremony at Blake’s Oklahoma ranch.

However, it was a rocky relationship, with each facing accusations of infidelity.
In 2015, the two divorced and Blake moved on with Gwen.
USING YOUR VOICE
Country legend Reba McEntire hosted the ACM, and she’s about to spend a lot more time with Gwen when they reunite on The Voice.
Reba, who joined the cast last season after Blake’s departure, announced earlier this week that she is returning to her red chair.
She also revealed that Blake’s wife, Voice veteran Gwen, is also returning, along with rapper Snoop Dogg, 52.
The new lineup of coaches for the reality show was shared at NBCUniversal’s Upfront presentation in New York City.
Meanwhile, a source exclusively told The US Sun last month that Blake is considering returning to the show following his departure after 23 seasons.
The God’s Country singer was a coach on The Voice since its inception in 2011 before deciding to step away.
“Blake may have said his time on the show is over, but he hasn’t closed the door forever,” the source revealed.
“He would return to the show if Gwen was also invited, and then they could enjoy working together again.”
Gwen and Blake, who married in July 2021, met as coaches on The Voice in 2014.
