Paramount+ has revealed a teaser for its upcoming South Park streaming special.

South Park: The End of Obesity premieres May 24 and finds the obese Cartman receiving a weight-loss medication similar to Ozempic.

The results change your appearance to a thin, almost unrecognizable version of yourself.

“The advent of new weight-loss medications has a huge impact on everyone in South Park,” reads an official synopsis. “When Cartman is denied access to the life-changing medicine, the kids spring into action.”

Fans of X, formerly Twitter, went crazy over the new look.

“WHAT DID THEY DO TO MY ERIC CARTMAN?” one person exclaimed.

“Cartman on Ozempic looks so weird man,” added another.

“Skinny Cartman is so cursed,” lamented a third.

A fourth confessed: “I felt short of breath when I saw that.”

However, one person excitedly shared: “I can’t wait!”

SPECIAL EVENTS

This will be the seventh streaming special to air on Paramount+.

The long-running animated series aired its first special episode in 2020, at the height of the pandemic.

South Park: The Pandemic Special was the first time in the show’s 26-year history that it produced an hour-long episode.

The show debuted a three-part episode called Imaginationland in 2007, which aired for three consecutive weeks.

What is semaglutide?

Semaglutide is an antidiabetic medication used to treat type 2 diabetes and an antiobesity medication used for long-term weight management.

Most often, it is administered as a weekly injection, but some forms can be administered orally.

Semaglutide is sold under the brand names Ozempic and Rybelsus for diabetes and under the brand name Wegovy for weight loss.

Creators Trey Parker and Matt Stone usually write episodes a week before they air to keep things as current and relevant as possible.

Two more Covid-related specials followed – South ParQ: 2021 Vaccination Special and South Park: Post COVID.
