JENNIFER Lopez was called out by fans after her latest project as the main character in a new film.

The 54-year-old singer stars as Atlas Shepherd in Netflix’s new sci-fi drama Atlas, which premiered on Friday.

JLo’s criticism came just days after the streaming service called out the Marvel film Madame Web, starring Sydney Sweeney, Dakota Johnson and Emma Roberts.

Netflix shared a link to watch Atlas on its X account, formerly Twitter, but fans flooded the comments section with their criticism.

“Let me know when you’re done playing,” the user wrote.

“I’m sorry that trying to be an actress doesn’t work out for me…I just can’t take it seriously,” another added.

“That’s… disgraceful,” said a third.

“And it’s another dismal failure for @JLo. No surprise there,” noted a fourth.

The film follows JLo’s character on a technical adventure.

“A brilliant data analyst with a deep distrust of AI discovers it may be her only hope when a mission to capture a renegade robot goes wrong,” Netflix described.

The streaming service recently faced backlash over the release of Madame Web, a superhero film that follows a paramedic who begins to show signs of clairvoyance.

“I just watched Madame Web and I’m not joking or exaggerating when I say it’s without a doubt one of the worst films I’ve ever watched,” wrote one social media reviewer.

“I just finished Madame Web on Netflix. Why was the entire movie filmed as a table read?” added another.

“For those who haven’t seen Madame Web yet, don’t understand how bad it is, this is how the final battle with the villain ends. The editing, camera work and dialogue are atrocious, omg,” said one user with a video of the show.

Other film critics said the show was “Trash.”

MARRIAGE ISSUES?

JLo has been at the center of split speculation this year with her husband of two years, Ben Affleck.

He was seen looking stressed while out in public without his wedding ring.

The couple appears to have had a rough year, with another JLo movie being canceled in February.

She released her ninth studio album, This is Me…Now, on Friday, February 16, which she paired with a star-studded Amazon Prime movie.

The 16-track album features artists like rapper Latto and marks his first full-length album in a decade.

The song’s accompanying film features a host of famous faces in fun cameos, including her husband Ben, Post Malone, Keke Palmer, Sofia Vergara, Fat Joe and Jane Fonda.

Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck Relationship Timeline

JLo and Ben first got together in 2002 and got engaged later that year. However, they called off their wedding just two years later. They rekindled their romance in 2021 and finally got married in 2022. Here is a timeline of their love story:

Fans criticized the film on a Reddit forum.

“This is the longest, most boring, most narcissistic music video I’ve ever seen,” someone wrote.

“I had to hang up… shame on her!” added another.

“I really feel bad for her. All the money/fame in the world and so deeply insecure,” wrote a third.

“Don’t be malicious when you say this, but please see a therapist and work through your issues. You are worthy of truly loving yourself.”
