Paramount CEO gives verdict on the future of two popular shows — and accidentally reveals the truth about a new series

Paramount Global co-CEO Brian Robbins hinted that a new Blue Bloods series is in the works at Paramount’s annual shareholder meeting on June 4.

The drama will end this fall after 14 seasons.

“On TV, new franchise extensions are coming Dexter, Billionand Blue Bloods,” he told those present at the meeting.

Brian said that Fire Country has great promise, with spinoffs for it, Dexter and Billions already in development.

However, nothing has been officially announced about a Blue Bloods spinoff.

Billions will have the spinoff show, Millions, while the new Dexter show will be called Dexter: Origins.

ALL OVER

CBS announced that Blue Bloods would end in November 2023.

The final season will be divided into two parts.

The 14th season will have 18 episodes.

The first 10 began airing on February 16th and ended in May this year.

The final eight episodes will air in the fall, bringing the total to 293 episodes.

New episodes will air on CBS and Paramount+.

When it was announced that Blue Bloods was ending, Tom, 79, shared his feelings about it.

In an interview with TV linethe actor said that a lot of people are still interested in the show.

“CBS will find that many people are not ready to say goodbye to him. The show is more popular than ever, and I think [numbers] will increase with interest this year. We’re certainly not out of ideas,” shared Tom.

He went on to say that he is not ready to retire and will be there “as long as they have him.”

ANGRY TOM

A few days after the news of the cancellation, Tom gave an interview to CBS Sunday Morning.

He was asked if he thinks the show should have a 15th season.

“Well, that’s a good question,” said the former Magnum PI actor.

“I will continue to think that CBS will come to its senses.

“We are the third highest rated show across all broadcasts,” he continued.

Tom went on to say that the entire cast wants to return.
