The 32-year-old actor was welcomed to the BBC Breakfast studio by Sally Nugent and Jon Kay to discuss the show’s upcoming episodes.

The second half of the third series is set to be released this week, following the intense love story between Colin (Luke Newton) and Penelope (Nicola Coughlan).

Ahead of the new four-episode set, the star joked that die-hard viewers will enjoy the rest of the third installment.

“Everyone will be satisfied, the fans will be satisfied with the ending,” said Imhangbe.

As Sally, 52, looked satisfied, the actor couldn’t help but drop another nugget by adding: “And they’ll want more too.”

The mysterious answer left the host completely intrigued as she delved deeper, asking the guest for more information as she asked for more answers.

He replied, “There’s always more. Which is good. It’s a Cool Little balance, right?

His co-host Jon, 54, then noted that the series has the potential to branch out anywhere as there are so many interconnected characters in the universe.

He joked: “Potentially, this could go on forever!”

In April 2021, Netflix confirmed that it had ordered the show through at least the fourth series.

The actor then explained how there are even more stories to tell as Julia Quinn wrote more books in the Bridgerton series.

“There are eight booksso potentially eight seasons,” noted Martins.

The third series of the hit period drama was inspired by the fourth book in the franchise, Romancing Mr Bridgerton.

The first two series were based on the best-selling novels The Duke & I and The Viscount Who Loved Me, which retrospectively followed the Bridgerton siblings of Daphne (Phoebe Dynevor) and Anthony (Jonathan Bailey).

The other five books tell the individual love stories of the rest of the family clan, Benedict, Eloise, Francesca, Hyacinth and Gregory.

Who are the Bridgerton brothers?

THERE ARE eight Bridgerton siblings in total.

Here’s who they are in alphabetical order and by age:

Antonio – the oldest Bridgerton is played by Jonathan Bailey. He was the main focus of the second season and after a lot of will-they/won’t-they, he ended up marrying Kate Sharma.

Benedict – the second son, played by Luke Thompson, is the focus of the third book. However, his romance is not the main story of the Netflix drama’s third season, which will focus on his younger brother, Colin.

Colin – Luke Newton plays Colin, who is the women’s favorite. He is also the object of desire of Penelope Featherington, who is also the mysterious Lady Whistledown. However, when the season begins, he is unaware of this fact and is ready to hunt down the anonymous gossip writer.

Daphne – the first season introduced us to Daphne, the older Bridgerton sister. Played by Phoebe Dynevor, viewers watched her romance unfold with Simon Bassett, the Duke of Hastings, winning over many fans of the actor Regé-Jean Page.

Eloísa – Eloise, a book lover, enchanted viewers with her rebellious spirit and tomboyish ways. She made her debut into society during the second season and was horrified to discover that her best friend, Pen, was Lady Whistledown. Eloise is played by Claudia Jessie.

Francesca – Hannah Dodd has been hired to play Francesca in the third season, when she makes her debut in the social season. Francesca was played by Ruby Stokes in the first two seasons.

Gregory – Gregory is played by Will Tilston. To date he has not played a major role in the series because he is too young to be introduced to the Queen. His story appears in the eighth book of the series.

Hyacinth – the youngest Bridgerton brother is played by Florence Hunt. Although younger than Gregory, Hyacinth’s story is presented in book seven.

Will Mondrich was one of the series’ original characters, appearing alongside the likes of Rege-Jean Page in the first series.

In the new set of episodes, her family inherited new wealth and ‘Ton’ status after Lady Kent’s death.

She was his wife Alice’s (played by Emma Naomi) aunt and the late noblewoman left her eldest son – who is still a child – a large fortune and the title in her will.

A mirror of the character, Martins admitted the great impact that the series itself had on his personal life.

“I’ve been on the show since 2019, so when [first] came out during the lockdown,” he noted.

“It was like a phenomenon, it exploded, like family was calling me, and it kept evolving.”

The star added: “It’s getting better and better and the fan base is growing, and people are going back to watch the first season and catching up now.

“So it’s just the gift that keeps on giving and it’s expanding.”

Why is Bridgerton still so popular?

By Deputy TV Editor Felicity Cross

WHEN Bridgerton landed during lockdown, it took us to a world of bejeweled dresses, lavish balls and endless shagging – and the world went crazy for it.
Even the sexless second series didn’t dampen viewers’ desire for the Regency romp and fans eagerly awaited the arrival of the third series.
And they won’t be disappointed.
The opening finally gives us some action from the beautiful series featuring two newlyweds Anthony and Kate in scenes that would make your grandmother blush.
There’s drama and intrigue as the hunt for Lady Whistledown excites us, and laugh-out-loud comedy from the chaotic Featherington family.
But ultimately the season belongs to new romantic leads Colin and Penelope, whose will-they-won’t-they love story is fun, flirty and totally believable and its climax at the end of episode four will take your breath away.
Is Bridgerton still must-see television? Corset is.
