CLAIRE Danes will make an epic return to TV screens in a new Netflix thriller.
The Golden Globe-winning actress has reportedly been cast to star in a leading role.
Claire, 44, was last seen on TV in 2023 when she appeared in six episodes of Full Circle on Max.
But now the streamer has announced a new limited series called The Beast In Me.
Netfix’s new show aims to portray an author who withdraws from her normal life after the tragic death of her son.
His desire to write only reignites when a new neighbor enters the picture.
She discovers that he was once the prime suspect after his wife completely disappeared.
So the writer decides to make him the main theme of her new story and becomes determined to discover the truth.
This is despite the fact that she could potentially put herself in danger to do so.
The streamer’s synopsis reads: “Since the tragic death of her son, acclaimed author Aggie Wiggs has withdrawn from public life, unable to write, a ghost of her former self.
“But she finds an unlikely subject for a new book when the house next Door is purchased by Nile Sheldon, a famous and formidable real estate mogul who was once the prime suspect in his wife’s disappearance.
“At once horrified and fascinated by this man, Aggie finds herself compulsively hunting for the truth – chasing her demons while running away from her own – in a game of cat and mouse that could turn deadly.”
The duo Howard Gordon and Gabe Rotter are behind the new project.
Gordon is behind hit shows like The X-Files and Homeland, and will serve as showrunner.
This comes while Gabe Rotter serves as the show’s creator as well as head writer.
Claire is best known for her role as Carrie Mathison on Showtime’s Homeland.
She received critical and public praise for her acting skills, winning the Best Actress in a Drama Series category at the Golden Globes two years in a row.
The Hollywood star also won two Primetime Emmy Awards for her role on the long-running show.
Her eponymous role in Temple Grandin also earned the actress praise at both ceremonies.
