The cast of THE LOVE Island USA has several rules and regulations to follow before being invited to the show and during their stay at the Villa, according to former islander, Coye Simmons.
Coye – who was the first of his Season 6 castmates to be booted – spoke exclusively to The US Sun about what goes on behind the scenes.

The Peacock reality series follows a group of single people on their quest to find love within the Villa as they compete against each other for a grand prize of $100,000.
However, viewers only see a fraction of his journey, which is much longer than fans realize.
Coye, 28, revealed that the production contacted him via Instagram, expressing interest in him joining season 6, which he initially did not believe was a legitimate proposal.
“Someone reached out to me on Instagram and it was vague, and I was like, is this real?” the 6-foot-9 star confessed.
“I was like, why not give it the opportunity? It’s cool to be there and be at the Villas, meet new people, be in Fiji. . Why not?” Coye added that he would eventually be open to the idea.

LONG CASTING PROCESS
He soon discovered that the process was more extensive than imagined.
Coye revealed that the group had to attend a mandatory session with a psychiatrist and fill out a questionnaire before being considered for the program.
After that, production flew Coye and her co-stars to Fiji two weeks before filming began, where they settled in and shot promos, including the steamy show intro of them posing seductively in swimsuits on the beach.
As soon as they entered the Villa, privacy was no longer an option as they were immediately strapped down with microphones that they could only take off under certain circumstances.
“You can take your microphone off in the pool. That’s really the only time you can take your microphone off. Even in the shower, there are cameras everywhere,” Coye explained.
He also said that the use of cell phones was not permitted in the Villa, other than the phones provided by the production team to take selfies and receive special texts.
As a result, none of those cast were able to communicate with the outside world, including those who were eliminated.
Additionally, Coye shared that the episodes are filmed in real time and everything happens in “a matter of days,” which might be the most captivating aspect for viewers.

New episodes of Love Island USA are released on the streaming platform daily except Wednesdays, keeping fans on the edge of their seats.
The show regularly brings in new faces, called “bombshells,” and forces couples to make painful decisions between friends and romantic partners.
Coye also admitted to The US Sun that things weren’t portrayed on TV as they appeared in real life, as producers were a bit off-screen.
He referred to him being seen as the “quiet one” on the show, despite having a great personality on set.
The TV star also recalled that many of his intimate moments with JaNa Craig, 27, who he was with at the Villa, were not aired.
“It’s just one of those types of things like, honestly, they’re trying to get everyone to be shown up, but honestly, I wasn’t shown up like that,” Coye argued.
Season 6 of Love Island USA — the first hosted by Vanderpump Rules star Ariana Madix — ends in August.
