THE BACHELORETTE fans begged the series to break with tradition and hire Netflix’s Jessica Vestal as the lead for season 22.

Fans of the reality TV star witnessed her heartbreak on Perfect Match and Love is Blind.

On Tuesday, in the trailer for the Netflix star’s appearance on The Viall Files podcast, Jessica, 29, promised to open up about her failed romance with Perfect Match co-star Harry Jowsey, 27.

She told host Nick Viall, “I’ve been protecting my peace and I’m ready now.”

In the clip, Jessica spoke about Harry’s betrayal of her trust by admitting: “I’m hurt and humiliated, begging you.”

Jessica and Harry matched during the show and seemed to have a true connection until the Too Hot to Handle star kissed contestant Melinda Berry.

He later lied about the kiss when asked by Jessica about it.

Towards the end of the trailer, Jessica admitted that after all the heartbreak, she needs to “take some time to heal” and figure out what she wants and what’s good for her.

In the comments section, one fan wrote: “She is an absolute queen! One of the most mature figures on reality shows.”

“She needs to find a good guy who isn’t on reality TV!” commented another.

A third commenter suggested: “Jess to the next batchelorette. She has ALWAYS been so balanced and has always shown that her daughter is number 1. She deserves to find love, TRUE LOVE.”

“She would be the perfect choice for this show!” agreed another.

“I haven’t watched The Bachelorette in 15 years, if Jess is on I will happily watch it again!!” she mentioned a fifth.

“I haven’t watched it in a long time and I won’t watch it this season, but if Jess is on I’ll watch it,” commented a sixth fan.

One fan tagged the series, writing “@solteiraabc don’t fail at this and please make Jess your next Bachelorette. In fact, I would watch it.”

Several others echoed the sentiment with one writing, “Jess for The next Bachelorette! @bacheloretteabc,” and another adding, “I want @jess.ves to be the next Bachelorette.”

A third person asked, “Why isn’t she the Bachelorette…seriously @abc @bacheloretteabc.”

Traditionally, The Bachelorette features a runner-up from the previous season of The Bachelor.

Fans are apparently ready to ignore the tradition, as one person wrote: “@abc check out the comments…she would be perfect for the bachelorette.”

THE BACHELORETTE

The Bachelorette has released a new trailer for season 21 ahead of its premiere.

The teaser showed leading lady Jenn Tran, 26, hinting at what viewers can expect from her on this season of The Bachelorette.

“I’m going to do things my way,” Jenn said. “My love story is going to be crazy, chaotic and fun.”

The trailer also showed Jenn getting frustrated with some of her suitors, who she said were “making decisions for her.”

“If someone is here for the wrong reasons, I will find out,” he emphasized.

Jenn comes from Joey Graziadei’s season of The Bachelor, where she was sent home right before her hometown dates.

She was announced as the next Bachelorette during the show’s After the Final Rose episode in March.

The news shocked fans at first, as many expected to hear either lead Maria Georgas or runner-up Daisy Kent named as the next Bachelorette.

INCOMPARABLE

Last month, Perfect Match fans found out which couples survived after filming the show’s Season 2 finale.

A video shared on the streaming platform Xformer Twitter, showed the five couples who made it to the final episode, each talking about the current status of the relationships fans saw them build on the show, revealing that none of them lasted after filming.

The season 2 finale shocked fans when contestants Christine Obanor and Nigel Jones took home the win.

The two entered the Tulum, Mexico villa at the end of the game, having only arranged to meet and bonding just two days before the final vote.

The leading couples were Alara Taneri and Steven Dittar and Tolú Ekundare and Chris Hahn.

Other finalists included controversial couple Micah Lussier and Kaz Bishop and more recent couple Elys Hutchinson and Bryton Constantin.

Although Alara and Steven seemed to have the strongest relationship on the show, she revealed that he “ghosted” her after they planned to buy an apartment together.

Steven added that he “didn’t have time to maintain a relationship, let alone one that was abroad.”

Elys also said that she was haunted by Bryton, to which the Squid Game: The Challenge alum responded that she saw a different personality from her after the show.

As for Tolú, the former The Trust star said that Chris “fumbled a lot” after filming and that there was no relationship between them, but Chris added that he believed the two were a “perfect match” and that the end of their story was unhappy.

Kaz revealed that he and Micah were no longer together, saying that the last message he received from her said that she “really hated him.”

Micah added that their relationship after filming was “very quick” and “like a rollercoaster,” much like what was seen on the show.

Despite the win, Christine revealed that she and Nigel had broken up for good and that she had blocked him online.

She also said he “wants everything to look good for the cameras” and said the two were “on good terms.”

Nigel said Christine broke his trust, ending the relationship, even though he “tried to make it work with her”.

Although longtime Netflix star Harry Jowsey didn’t make it to the finale, his teenage antics made an impact with viewers this season.

Viewers saw him end his connection with Elys earlier in the season after he joined Jessica on a date.

Harry and Jessica seemed to have the strongest connection with the couple saying “I love you” and discussing marriage.

The relationship ended, however, after Harry lied about kissing contestant Melinda Berry during the infamous “boys’ day out.”

“Perfect Match Season 2, I guess the best way to describe it is… embarrassing,” Harry said in the update video.

“I probably shouldn’t have met on a dating show,” he joked, adding that although he and Jessica tried to have a relationship again after the show, it didn’t work out.

Jessica, mother of 11-year-old daughter Autumn, added that she and Harry were “non-existent” as a couple and that there is no bad blood between them.
