Jason Segel is another star name in the main cast, alongside other Hollywood elite names such as Wednesday star Gwendoline Christie.

Denée Benton, from The Gilded Age and Succession star Cherry Jones, also had smaller roles.

Making the film was a seemingly expensive feat, with a budget of over $10 million.

But at the time of its initial release in 2021, the film had grossed less than a million dollars at the box office.

Although many speculate that this could be due to the pandemic when fans were just returning to theaters.

Despite this, the film also received widespread critical acclaim, particularly from enthusiastic fans.

According to film review website Rotten Tomatoes, the film has a glowing audience score of 95%.

However, new life will be injected into the film after it hits Netflix on Thursday (July 18).

UK viewers can now stream the title on the global streaming platform.

Fans in the US will only be able to rent the film via Amazon Prime and several other services.

Matthew Teague (Affleck) and his wife Nicole (Johnson) get help from a family friend named Dane (Segel).

He goes above and beyond to help the family in their most difficult times, trying to take charge of his own personal life.

The story was based specifically on an article written in Squirewritten by a friend of the husband who helped a family during his wife’s battle with cancer.

Viewers praised the project for approaching death in a different way than many would normally see it in the public eye.
