PEACOCK has canceled a highly anticipated sci-fi TV show that left fans completely devastated.
When NBC announced its original series lineup for Peacock in 2019, they revealed that a reboot of a fan-favorite series was in the works.
However, it was revealed on Wednesday by Variety that the Battlestar Galactica revival is no longer happening.
The show was only in development and was never ordered for episodes.
The reboot was supposed to follow the events that took place in the series Battlestar Galactica, which aired for four seasons between 2004 and 2009.
It starred Katee Sackhoff, Edward James Olmos, Tricia Helfer, Jamie Bamber, Mary McDonnell and Grace Park.

Battlestar Galactica followed a few remaining humans after robot Cylons took over.
Galactica was searching for a mythical planet called Earth.
The show was an updated – and darker – version of the beloved 1970s series of the same name.
Sam Esmail was hired to produce the show and Derek Simonds was hired to write and produce.
However, Sam does not give up on his project and will sell the TV show to other outlets.
‘What a bummer’
After the news went viral on social media, fans were upset with NBC’s decision.
“Peacock has been terrible at programming lately! First Real Housewives of Miami and now this!” one wrote in X.
Another said: “I need to revisit this show. It was so good”.
“What a bummer. Such a good show,” echoed a third person.
A fourth commented: “I want more Battlestar Galactica!”
