‘Ray Donovan’ Spinoff Is Heading to Paramount+

A Ray Donovan The spinoff series is heading to Paramount+.

The Donovans is set to follow Showtime’s popular drama series. All 10 episodes will premiere later this year on Paramount+ for subscribers who have the Paramount+ plan with Showtime.

“With the most powerful customers in Europe, The Donovans we will see family fortunes and reputations at risk, strange alliances unfolding and betrayals around every corner; And while the family may be London’s tinkering elite today, the nature of their business means there’s no guarantee of what awaits tomorrow.

Ray Donovan concluded in January 2020 after a run of seven seasons. The series premiered in 2013 and was canceled in February after the seventh season finale. Liev Schreiber starred in the series as the title character. He later starred in and co-wrote the 2022 feature film Ray Donovan: The Movie.

Guy Ritchie is ahead of the project, acting as director and executive producer. The series is written and produced by screenwriter and novelist Ronan Bennett.

“We will deliver a show that provides great emotions, entertainment and a huge rush of adrenaline for audiences around the world,” said Bennett, 68. “At the same time, I am completely focused on exploring real characters, heart and soul, and I am committed to writing stories with deep dramatic impact.”

The writer continued: “We will get under the skin of the criminal underworld, in a way that will show the deep truths of how they live and how this will sometimes – inevitably – impact our own lives.”

Alongside Richie and Bennett, The Donovans It will be executive produced by Glasser, Ron Burkle, Bob Yari, David Hutkin and Ivan Atkinson. The series comes from Paramount+, Showtime/MTV Entertainment Studios and 101 Studios.

The original series was created by Ann Biderman and centered on a fixer whose relationship with his family is complicated. Schreiber received three Emmy nominations for Outstanding Lead Actor in a Drama Series during Ray Donovanis running.
