The average penis size in the UK has grown by almost 10% in just two years, according to a new study.

Research shows that men’s penises in Britain have grown by 0.46 inches – making the new average 5.63 inches when erect.

The new figures place the UK in 8th place in the global growth rankings and mark an increase of 8.9 per cent.

Unfortunately, though, Britain’s penises tend to fall into the “grower, don’t shower” category, as we’re still ranked 60th in overall size.

Our men were overtaken by the Sudanese – whose average length at full mast is over an incredible 7 inches.

Venezuela also has an impressive claim to fame when it comes to penis growth.

Men in the South American country saw their growth increase by an average of 1.42 inches in just two years.

Not all European countries were as lucky as Britain in the results of the investigation.

Italian men saw their penises shrink by a fifth – reaching just under 12 centimeters on average.

Now, patient experts have reviewed the data by World Population Review on the average penis size by country in 2024 to arrive at the numbers.

Some involved self-reporting by men – causing a potential problem if they exaggerated data about their own penises.

Research suggests that guys tend to fake their real sizes as they’re trying to meet unrealistic standards, so it’s best to take these averages with a pinch of salt.

It is unclear why the UK average has risen by almost a tenth.

Richard Viney, a urological surgeon at Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Birmingham, told Mail Online why we may be seeing the new figures.

It may be that the data samples do not provide a like-for-like comparison between 2022 and 2024.

Different ages among respondents can also affect the data.

Dr Viney said: “Men’s penises shorten as they age (due to) increased body fat and the enlarged prostate, drawing the penis back into the body.”

He also said that weight loss – spurred in recent months by drugs like Ozempic – may be related.

“It is possible that there is an Ozempic effect. As men lose weight, their penises appear larger.”

NHS tips to add inches to your penis

WORRIED about the size of your manhood?

There are some things you can do to help.

According to the NHS, there are some simple – and painless – ways to add the illusion of a few extra inches. These are:

  1. Trim your pubes – if you’ve heard the saying “cut the grass to make the tree look bigger”, trimming your pubic hair can do just that.
  2. Banish the beer belly – losing weight is a great way to make your child look bigger. It won’t look as impressive if you have a beer belly hanging over it.
  3. Get in shape – Getting fit will not only make you look better, but you will also feel better. It goes without saying that if you feel sexy, your love life will benefit too.
