PERFORMING a stellar performance in London will be second nature to Taylor Swift despite the recent terrorist threat against the Eras Tour, according to a performance coach.

He claimed the Shake It Off hitmaker would not be “fearless” amid the “militia-like security” of the shows and detailed the types of “visuals” she used to accomplish the task.

Swifties and non-Swifties alike were shocked last week when all three Eras Tour shows in Vienna, Austria’s Ernst Happel Stadium were canceled after police foiled an ISIS terrorist plot.

Some of the suspects were reportedly hired to work at the event and had knives, machetes and dirty bomb materials that they planned to use to cause destruction.

A 19-year-old suspect is believed to have planned to drive a car into the crowd outside the concert.

Taylor, 34, has not commented publicly on the plot or cancellations and has not been photographed since the shows were canceled and tickets refunded.

On Tuesday, she made her first public appearance when she was spotted leaving a wrap party in London, where she was due to perform her final five shows of the European leg of her tour.

Performance Coach and Confidence Expert Martin Perry said Taylor would be “well prepared” to perform in front of large crowds again.

“It’s an act of courage to go ahead with these five shows,” he told The US Sun.

“She could have turned around and gone home, but she’s saying, ‘We won’t be stopped.’

“Similarly, Taylor’s party was them doing things they normally do on tour – she’s normalizing things for her and her team.

“But this is not a simple operation and there is a lot at risk.

“Although there is no fear involved, that doesn’t mean Taylor won’t feel vulnerable.”

After arriving in the UK, Taylor’s dancers were reportedly arrested.

The Sun previously reported that “strict presidential-level” security had been established for Taylor and his entourage.

Metropolitan police presence has increased around Wembley Stadium and fans have been asked not to gather outside the event without tickets.

YOUR PEOPLE

According to Perry, Taylor will have separated herself from security issues to focus exclusively on her program.

“A lot of the work has gone into preparation with the security team, the police and so on,” he said.

“Taylor’s responsibility now is to deliver, which is second nature to her.

“There is a separation between you as an artist and you who take care of your people.

“Then, once the show is happening and secured, your focus turns solely to the fans and your show.

“This is about how she creates an unbelievable experience for 80,000 people and being with them.”

Interestingly, in 2019, Taylor confessed that her biggest fear was an attack at one of her shows.

This followed the bombing of Ariana Grande’s 2017 concert in Manchester, United Kingdom.

Taylor mentioned the shooting at the Harvest Music Festival in Las Vegas that same year.

“My biggest fear,” she wrote in She in 2019.

“After the Manchester Arena bombing and the Las Vegas concert filming, I was completely terrified about going on tour this time because I didn’t know how we were going to keep 3 million fans safe for seven months.

“There was a lot of planning, expense and effort to keep my fans safe.

Taylor overcame bullying at school, eating disorders, her mother’s cancer, Kanye West, online abuse and stalkers.

“My fear of violence continued into my personal life,” Taylor added.

She revealed that she even carried military-grade QuikClot bandages in case of gunshots or stabbings.

OVERCOME

The expert said Taylor’s first lesson in “resilience” came from her past.

“Taylor is an incredibly resilient woman,” Perry suggested.

“If you look at her career, her life and what she went through and had to overcome.

“From bullying at school, eating disorders, mom’s cancer, Kanye West, online abuse and stalkers.

“The terrorist threat was of a different order, but she is prepared to deal with it, despite it being very unnerving.”

FAITHFUL TO YOURSELF

Perry detailed how he trains athletes and artists, revealing that “visualization” is key to curbing anxiety.

“We’re preparing someone emotionally as well as psychologically,” he said.

“We create scenarios for the artists in advance so that they have a backup position, otherwise they will be stuck.

“There are reasons why someone might have stage fright, forget words, or be afraid of letting people down and letting them down.

She has the inner resources to respond at the right time and knows how to remain authentic.

“For Taylor, there’s the physicality of how to deliver a three-and-a-half hour show at that level.

“This is mental and physical preparation, which involves visualization.

“This includes areas where she may sense you need a boost of energy.

“There will be areas where you need to be mentally prepared for those moments when you need to take yourself – and the audience – to a higher level.

“This cannot be achieved in five minutes.

“Taylor would have thought well before tonight about the level of detail she would go into as an artist and go through visualizations.

“She has the inner resources to respond in a timely manner and knows how to remain authentic.”

The Eras Tour began in early March 2023 and generated a huge income for the star.

Militia-like security is unsustainable and the costs of these programs are quite high.

It’s estimated that this could earn the Cruel Summer singer $5.7 billion by the end of the year.

Forbes confirmed Taylor as the highest-grossing female touring artist of all time.

It is worrying that a report using Global Terrorism Database data collected by National Institute of Health showed that 146 terrorist attacks took place across the world between 1970 and 2019.

Several were at musical concerts and festivals.

Martin Perry said 80,000 stadium shows like Taylor's Eras Tour may have to be reimagined given the nature of threats and extremism

“This is the reality of living in the 21st century,” Perry continued.

“We are going through a significant period of change and, across all disciplines and businesses, we have to learn to pivot.

“That means new ways of thinking, like are we going to do 80,000 stadium shows like Taylor Swift does in five years?

“It’s hard to imagine because of the nature of the threats and the nature of the extremism we live in.

“Maybe all of this needs to be reimagined and the entire music industry needs to rethink its future.

“Militia-like security is now unsustainable and the costs of these shows are quite high.

“We won’t be surprised if we don’t see these stadium shows in the future.”
