KOURTNEY Kardashian Barker has been putting her fourth baby at risk by bringing him into her bed every night, a child sleep expert has claimed.
She encouraged the reality star to follow co-sleeping guidelines and cited her response to a struggling father as “unhelpful” and “no benefit to her baby.”
Kourtney, 45, shared an image on Instagram Stories showing the empty crib of their new baby, Rocky.
Kourtney also responded to a follower’s question about naps.
“New mom here, any tips on a baby who only likes to be held for a nap?” asked the mother.
“Enjoy every second! We do the same. He’s never been in his crib. It’s my favorite thing in the world.” Kourtney said.

The Kardashians star welcomed Rocky Thirteen Barker with her husband, Travis Barker, 48, in 2023.
Child sleep specialist and Mommy founder Natalia Neves said Kourtney wasn’t “dog paddling” like other moms — and didn’t have the same reasons for sharing a bed with him.
The Hulu star has admitted in the past that she co-sleeps with her children.
Rocky is Kourtney’s fourth child. She has Mason, 13; Penelope, 10; and Reign, 8, with her ex, Scott Disick.
“A mother asked Kourtney for tips, but she responded with useless messages,” Nevares told The US Sun.
“Mothers can feel exhausted, struggling and paddling with their newborns.
“Babies may have difficulty taking naps during the day and waking up throughout the night.
“Kourtney is not dog paddling.
“She can take care of herself during the day by going to the gym, getting a massage and taking a nap.
“Kourtney would have caregivers, but working moms don’t have that luxury.
“Kourtney also could have had plenty of opportunities to hang out with her kids and hug them throughout the day.
It’s about comfort, personal reasons and own need for bond or fear of losing it.

“But when it comes to the night, it is the only time she is alone with her baby.
“She is holding back on the possibility of co-sleeping, which has no benefit for the baby.
“It’s about comfort, personal reasons, and one’s own need for connection or fear of losing it.”
DANGER ZONE
According to American Academy of PediatricsCo-sleeping is not recommended.
Official guidelines are to place babies on their backs to sleep in their sleeping space without other people.
Parents should use a crib, crib, or portable playpen with a firm, flat mattress and fitted sheet.
“They recommend sharing rooms,” Nevares added.
“That’s a little controversial because it’s a little conservative.
“The advice is to share a room with babies to prevent SIDS.
If Kourtney doesn’t have a bedroom and sleeps with the kids, how will her marriage survive?

“A baby can suffocate under a human being’s pillows, especially when he is small.
“Babies cannot turn their heads if a human rolls over them.
“They can suffocate and die from asphyxiation.”
In the fifth season of The Kardashians, Kourtney spoke about her fourth pregnancy, which was high risk.
Kourtney revealed her baby bump for the first time at a sold-out 2023 Blink-182 concert in Los Angeles.
But at 31 weeks pregnant, she told how she had a test.
Kourtney will be stuck with her baby in bed until her kids go through puberty.

During the exam with “a high-risk doctor,” something “caught his attention,” and the results were sent to be checked later.
In the end, Kourtney underwent fetal surgery, with the baby being operated on while still in the womb.
Kourtney’s previous pregnancies went smoothly in 2009, 2011 and 2014.
She told the podcaster Amanda Hirsch in 2022, as she slept with Penelope for over 10 years.
“She slept with me every day since she was born,” she said.
“And pretty much still does, unless she has a sleepover friend.”
Kourtney returned to the topic in 2018 on her website, Poosh.
“I didn’t have to get out of bed to get the kids back to sleep when they woke up during the night,” she said.
“It was easier when one of the children woke up, since I was there. It was what worked for all of us to get more sleep, so I quickly accepted it,” she added.
SURVIVAL TACTICS
Nevares said Kourtney’s co-sleeping choices would impact their entire family in the long run.
“Kourtney will be stuck with the baby in bed until the kids go through puberty,” she said.
“How does that work when they want a sleepover or when Rocky is ten years old?
“He may be afraid to sleep at a friend’s house because he doesn’t know how to sleep without his parents.
I wonder how Travis fits into this favorite thing.

“Likewise, if Kourtney doesn’t have her own room and sleep with the kids, how will her marriage survive?”
Travis and Kourtney got married in 2022 and struggled with IVF before Rocky’s arrival.
Travis has three sons – Landon, 18, Alabama, 16, and a stepdaughter he shares with his ex-wife Shanna Moakler.
“I wonder how Travis fits into this favorite thing,” Nevares added.
“I wonder which couple doesn’t like having sex.”
“We have a bus team that flies across the country and stays with families in their homes,” Nevares added.
“This is to help parents train their babies to sleep in person.
“We adapt it for each baby and each family.
“We hold parents’ hands and help them understand what is normal and what is not normal.
“We have babies sleeping through the night in their cribs within three to four days.
“This is where they are safer with the video monitor.”
