KIM Kardashian continued her efforts to tighten her waist at the Met Gala by supercharging her workouts using a new 28-day regime.

A nutritionist expressed “concern” about the reality TV star’s latest exercise efforts and compared them to “harmful” yo-yo dieting, but pointed to a noticeable change in her physique.

Kim, 43, posted videos of herself working out with weights on Instagram on May 11.

The first clip showed the mother of four dressed in a sports top and leggings. She was holding 5 pound dumbbells and doing squats.

In a second clipthe Kardashians star trained her arms using the same weight while lying on a mat.

“Doing the @senada.greca 20 minute challenge today,” Kim captioned the post. videoreferring to his trainer’s 28-day challenge.

Kim’s trainer is Senada Greca, who shared photos of the Skims founder performing routines online.

Nutritionist Rania Batayneh, MPH, warned that no one should think they can achieve a body like Kim’s in such a short time – and with such short training sessions.

“People can’t expect Kim’s body to lift ten pounds in a 20-minute workout for 28 days,” Batayneh told The US Sun.

“That would be impossible.

“What may be possible is that the release of this program was timed when there were rumors about Kim’s ripped waist at the Met Gala.

“My other concern is what happens beyond the 28 days in terms of people’s diet and exercise.

“Senada Greca’s 28-day challenge is akin to a risky yo-yo diet.”

Senada launched the challenge on May 13, promising to be alongside its customers at every stage.

“The workouts change DAILY,” the influencer wrote in it Instagram page.

“All you need is a pair of dumbbells or just perform BODY WEIGHT. ALL levels. Let’s do this. 20 minutes a day is all you need for this one,” she captioned the post.

What is Senada Greca’s 28-day challenge?

Senada Greca launched the Rise and Shred Challenge on its WeRise app on May 13th.

Fans signed up for 28 days of workouts that lasted just 20 minutes.

“Start your fitness journey this summer with our first Summer Shred challenge,” she told her followers.

“Commit to just 28 days of intense 20-minute follow-up workouts using the Senada Method for guaranteed results.”

The workouts are designed to be done at home or in the gym. The only equipment needed is dumbbells, although she said people could still exercise without them.

An example workout involved ‘single-leg eccentric squats, B-stance concentric squats’, ‘DB side-stand knee bends’, RDLs, planks, reverse lunges, and bear pose rows.

The training should be performed as a circuit of 3 sets of 12 repetitions each.

App subscriptions cost $149.99 for three months, $54.99 for three months, or $19.99 for one month.

However, the trainer has snippets of some of the individual daily workouts for free on Instagram and TikTok.

BIG UP

While Betaynah cautioned that people shouldn’t expect to look like Kim, she noted that even the reality star doesn’t appear to be fully transformed.

Referencing a photo of the star in Los Angeles on May 17 wearing baggy black pants and a white top, Betaynah said she only noticed one difference.

“It doesn’t show any difference in shape, other than the buttocks and butt looking fuller,” she said.

“I see a bigger person now.

“Kim’s back and arms don’t look defined or shredded at all.

Kim’s ass is back, and that’s not what most would consider destroying.

“We can see some more imperfections, standard in natural light, but not always tolerant.

“This challenging 28-day workout can make the most significant difference to your glutes compared to any other part of your body.

“Kim’s ass is back, and that’s not what most would consider destroying.

“Her ass isn’t fat, but it’s toned and has shape.”

DIET AND DEFEAT

But if fans follow Kim’s tips, thinking they’ll get their own backside enhanced, Batayneh warned they could end up feeling “defeated.”

“Signing up for a program expecting quick results, only to achieve some progress, and then falling off the plan and gaining the weight back can feel like defeat,” she said.

“These are some of the things that, when we look for quick fixes, can be a problem.

“With the yo-yo diet, for example, you don’t eat, eat, don’t eat, and that’s not healthy.

“Yo-yo dieting can be considered risky or harmful to health.

“Losing and regaining weight repeatedly through diet cycles and then returning to previous eating habits can affect metabolism.

Signing up for a challenge and committing is good, but what happens afterwards is more important.

Rania BataynehNutritionist

“Yo-yo dieting can increase nutritional deficiencies and impact mental well-being.”

Batayneh worried that people might “gain weight.”

“Signing up for a challenge and committing is good, but what happens afterwards is more important,” she said.

“You can’t just do something for four weeks and then skip it.

“The concern is if people get off the couch for this challenge, what will be their motivator after 28 days?

“After completing this program, they must find their maintenance mode.

“It may seem like we eat a larger portion, but going back to old habits will result in weight regain.

“There are different strategies that individuals need to change or adjust to maintain weight.

“Right now, Senada has a community and posts on Instagram, but what happens in the end?”

KIM BREAST MUSCLE

Kim is known for experimenting with different exercises and measures to lose weight.

At the 2022 Met Gala, Kim took extreme measures and lost 16 pounds to fit into her Marylin Monroe gown.

“I’ve lost 21 kilos now. I’m not trying to lose any more weight, but I have more energy than ever,” she said on the Today Show.

“I cut out a lot of sugar – a lot of junk food that I ate, I didn’t realize, like a lot of fried foods. And I completely changed my lifestyle,” she added.

She has been training with Senada since March and has shared images on Instagram of grueling two-hour weightlifting sessions.

She said she “wanted to build muscle and be strong.”

And in early May, her waist looked slimmer than ever as she wore a restrictive John Galliano corset to the Met Gala.

DISH

While Kim hasn’t detailed what she’s eating during her 28-day challenge, Senada has been sharing plenty of recipes on Instagram, including chocolate bark and protein banana.

The quick workout Kim is doing is very risky.

Rania BataynehNutritionist

According to Batayneh, Senada’s dishes looked “healthy.”

“While we’re not sure what Kim is eating, we’re still curious about her diet,” she said.

“Her trainer shared recipes, which is beneficial to see what Kim might be eating.

“For people who don’t eat well or are looking for easy recipes, the ones Kim’s trainer has promoted are generally good and easy.

“They are very similar to the ones I have shared on social media and in my book, The One One One Diet.

“At every meal and snack, you need a balance of proteins, carbohydrates and fats.

“But if a healthy diet does not accompany Senada’s fast training, there are consequences, such as nutrient deficiencies and low energy consumption.

“Not to mention weight recovery.

“Adding more protein to your diet can help you feel fuller and help you lose weight and gain energy.

“I’m not against the recipes Senada is showing, but the quick workout Kim is doing is very risky.”
