IF Hoda Kotb’s fans get their way, the veteran news anchor could soon find herself in the arms of Hollywood star Kevin Costner.
But a body language expert claimed the Yellowstone heartthrob “blocked” his hand from touching the TV presenter during an interview, suggesting any hot date was off.

Hoda, 59, and Kevin, 69, sat down face-to-face in June on Today with Hoda and Jenna.
The Oscar-winning screen legend was promoting his latest film, Horizon, and slicked back his hair and rubbed his leg during the interview.
In the end, the father of five hugged Hoda – a moment captured on camera.
Fans commented on the duo’s interaction on Instagram, eager to see a relationship blossom.

“Kevin and Hoda should date! They look cute together,” said one.
“I noticed how he placed his hands when he hugged her,” wrote another.
Body language expert Blanca Cobb stated that the actor seemed “nervous”.
She suggested that Hoda mirrored some of Kevin’s gestures as they “vibrated.”
“Their rubbing and sweeping of their hair were not flirtatious moves,” Cobb told The US Sun.
“What was interesting is that he rubbed the back of his head and she swept her hair as soon as he did that.
“Kevin then touched his leg. This only happens when you are in sync with someone.
If he had feelings for Hoda and wanted anything more, he wouldn’t have left anything in her hands.

“That doesn’t necessarily mean it was flirting or that there was an attraction. It meant these two were playing and vibing.
“But that doesn’t have to mean being romantic, and Kevin carried on as normal after that.
“Even his hair sweep was probably just a matter of nerves.”
BLOCKED
According to Cobb, the final moments between the pair were the most revealing.
“When Hoda and Kevin hugged, his phone touched her more than his hand,” she said.
“Kevin had his blocker ready.
“If he had feelings for Hoda and wanted anything more, he wouldn’t have left anything in her hands or in her way.

“Kevin would have felt her hip completely with his hand instead of having that phone in the way.
“His facial expression was also friendly.
“It wasn’t until Hoda watched the footage on Wednesday with Jenna that she had to double-check her true feelings.”

Hoda and Savannah Guthrie, 52, also participated in a Q&A on Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen on Tuesday.
Andy told the daytime TV host that fans were clamoring for her to date Kevin.
“What do you think of viewers ‘shipping’ you and Kevin Costner after he appeared on ‘Today’ last month?” a spectator asked.

“Hoda played with Andy’s audience because that was her job and skill.”
The topic of Costner dating was brought up again on Wednesday during a live segment on Today with Hoda and Jenna.
Jenna Bush Hager, 42, admitted that fans wanted a love match between her co-host and the actor.
“I didn’t know you and Kevin were boarding! I didn’t even know what shipping meant,” she said.
A clip of the moment in question was then played along with a romantic soundtrack.
STIFF UPPER LIP
Cobb said it was telling how Hoda watched the interview.
“During the segment with Jenna, Hoda introduced her body language,” she said.
“That was just a sign of discomfort, so watching the clip, she felt uncomfortable with the conversation.
“His neck felt stiff and his shoulders were close to his ears.
“She would sometimes put her hands in front of her mouth and then on her chest.
“Hoda was embarrassed.”

She also split from Joel Schiffman in 2022, with whom she shares two daughters, Haley and Hope.
In May, she admitted that she was dating again.
After an interview with pop star Jennifer Lopez, Hoda confirmed that they started dating in February.

Cobb claimed Hoda was checking out how she acted with Kevin when she revisited the clip.
“Hoda was also checking to see if there was anything flirty there,” she said.
“But she still felt embarrassed about it all.
“The most interesting gesture here was Hoda looking to see if she really felt like there was no flirting on her part.
“Hoda checked in on her feelings and whether she had feelings for Kevin.”

Kevin overcame a second divorce in 2023 with Christine Baumgartner.
He was also married to Cindy Costner from 1978 to 1994.
Kevin recently said in an interview that he and Jewel are not dating, insisting he was not in love.
“No, Jewel and I are friends,” he said Howard Stern in June.
“We never went out, never. She is special and I don’t want these rumors to ruin our friendship because that’s what we have,” she added.
