KIM KARDASHIAN and her sister Khloe’s Indian wedding outfits took the fashion world by storm in what was dubbed the world’s most expensive wedding.

But an Indian fashion expert said her sister’s expensive clothes exposed style misdeeds that might be “frowned upon” by the country’s more conservative elite.

Kim, 43, and Khloe, 40, attended the four-day, million-dollar Ambani wedding in India, which kicked off on Friday.

Along with A-listers and A-listers, the KUWTK stars brought out several Indian outfits especially for the extravaganza.

Indian fashion expert Eshita Kabra-Davies, founder of By rotationsaid Kim and Khloe should have covered it up.

“I was quite surprised to see Kim and Khloe Kardashian at an Indian wedding,” she told The US Sun.

“They looked great, but if anything was wrong stylistically, there was too much cleavage.

“Kim’s tops were too small, while some other women wore them appropriately.

“Cleavage is perceived in a very negative and overtly sexual way in Indian marriages.

“Kim and Khloe could have covered it up more.”

Kabra-Davies suggested the reality star’s cleavage and jewelry combination was “too much.”

“Kim had beautiful necklaces around her neck, but with her cleavage there were a lot of things to look at,” she said.

In her red dress, Kabra-Davies highlighted that “most of Kim’s breasts and part of her areola” were visible.

And while it didn’t break any protocols, it wouldn’t have gotten rave reviews locally.

“Traditionally and in conservative circles, this show and the amount of cleavage would just be frowned upon,” Kabra-Davies said.

“Most of the other Indian guests weren’t dressed that way.

“Kim’s overall look was awesome.”

Kim and Khloe's outfits would have cost around $60,000, so it would have been important to get it right, according to an expert

Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant’s wedding cost around $600 million and made international headlines.

The groom is the son of Mukesh Ambani, Asia’s richest man, while Radhika is a pharmaceutical heiress.

Kim and Khloe flew to the Indian capital on Thursday, immersing themselves in Indian culture at the luxurious Taj Mahal Palace.

Photos on Instagram showed the pair at an arrival ceremony, where they received bindis.

SPREADING BIG MONEY

Kabra-Davies suggested that Kim and Khloe’s clothes were borrowed, but would have a high price tag for anyone who wanted to buy them.

“Celebrities would have been loaned or gifted these fashion items,” she said.

“For example, the lowest cost would be US$2,000 for an Indian outfit.

“Kim and Khloes would easily cost someone $20,000 an outfit.”

Kim’s first outfit was a red lehenga choli by Manish Malhotra that was covered in sequins and tassels and included a skirt, plunging blouse and shawl.

She shared a photo on Instagram showing off her hair styled in waves and full of Indian jewelry.

Khloe wore a white and gold dress with sleeves. Her necklace was from the same designer as Kim’s.

Both sisters wore a Maang Tikka on their foreheads.

Later, Kim wore a peach gold and silver outfit by Tarun Tahiliani, while Khloe was dressed in pink.

Kim wore neutral makeup this time, but added a Nath, or bridal nose ring, by jewelry artist Lorraine Schwartz.

The meaning of wearing a Nath is that it symbolizes being married and paying respect to the goddess.

Kim added a Nath, or bridal nose ring, to her outfit, but it was the wrong size, according to Eshita Kabra-Davies

NATH SMALL ENOUGH

According to Kabra-Davies, Kim’s Nath was the wrong size.

“This is traditionally very bridal,” she explained.

“But fashion is changing and designers want to sell whatever they can.

“A bridal nose ring is fine, but it was too big for Kim.

“When Kim introduced the nose jewelry, or Nath, there were many other distractions.

“Kim’s nose jewelry was perhaps a step too far, and we have smaller jewelry as well.

“Overall, though, the reality stars’ second outfits, with Khloe in pink, were again over the top.”

On Monday, Kim shared a photo montage of a third outfit on social media.

“India has my heart,” she captioned the post, showing her once again dressed in red.

The couple wouldn’t have minded Kim wearing red.

“OK this doesn’t look Indian, it looks like a fantasy,” said one follower.

“You shouldn’t wear red to a wedding in India. This is saved for the bride,” another added.

IN RED

According to Kabra-Davies, Kim was likely “allowed” to wear red.

“The couple wouldn’t have minded Kim wearing red,” she said.

“The couple didn’t wear red; It would only have been a problem if the bride had been wearing red.

“Kim was getting the brunt of all that criticism around red, but she would have asked for permission.”

The Kardashian sisters celebrated with Chopra-Jonases, Boris Johnson, Adele and Drake.

Other celebrities present at the event seemed to respect the Indian wedding dress code.

John Cena arrived in a blue sherwani and pants. Joe Jonas opted for pink and his wife went for yellow.

HERE COMES THE BRIDE

Kabra-Davies said the bride looked conservative and said the stars didn’t overshadow her.

“Actress Natasha Pumbala got it right and used gold and light pink,” she said.

“She didn’t need to use everything at once, she was very respectful of the bride and didn’t try to upstage her.

“Kim and Khloe were invited to that wedding to bring attention to the wedding, which they did.

This wedding brought Indian fashion into the spotlight.

“The Ambanis wanted to ensure that they were featured in all media and became the talk of the world for a few days.

“But if you looked at the bride, she was demure and not dressed in anything revealing or shocking.

“She wasn’t trying to be sexy or talked about and looked like a family woman getting married.”

Interestingly, Kim spoke to Vogue in 2018 about her love for the country when the magazine featured her on the cover.

“The saris, the jewelry, the clothes – everything was so beautiful!” she said,

“We have to figure out how to get to India,” Kim added at the time.

AT LIMELIGHT

“Overall, this is a great moment for Indian fashion and couture,” added Kabra-Davies, founder of the world’s first company social fashion rental app.

“It’s the recognition our designers deserve because we have insane craftsmanship, incredible creations and designs.

“Made in India is a term that brands are not proud to use, but many things you buy from Western brands are made in India.

“This wedding brought Indian fashion into the spotlight.

“There are a lot of healthy people in India and marketers should start focusing their efforts there.

“Indian designers are increasingly known globally.

“Kim and Khloe’s outfits would cost around $60,000 each, so it would be important to get it right.”
