BRIDGET JONES is back – and perhaps thanks to some work, so is her face.
A plastic surgeon has suggested that before filming her final stint as the self-conscious Bridget, Renée Zellweger further modified her face to regain its natural appearance.
Renée, 55, was pictured filming scenes in London for Bridget Jones: Mad About the Boy.
The Texan has been in the British capital since April.
Over the years, much has been said about the award-winning actress’s look, with changes that sometimes make her “unrecognizable”.
But plastic surgeon Dr. Richard Westreich claimed that Renée tried to “back off” her use of injectables when revisiting Bridget for the first time since 2016’s Bridget Jones’s Baby.

“Two years ago, something went wrong,” he told The US Sun.
“She was probably getting very heavy filler in her cheeks and lips – or what we call a liquid lift.
“Renée has been trying to get it all back recently. In March she seemed overwhelmed, but in May she seemed better.
“Since filming Bridget Jones, Renée seems to have lost control.”
Mad About The Boy will also star British heartthrob Leo Woodall, 27, who single mum Bridget is dating.
BACK TO REALITY
According to OestereichRenée may have spent US$121,000 in twenty years on two liquid facelifts.
He said there could have been an eyelid stitch procedure, Botox, and now $1,000 to “dissolve” any fillers.
She wasn’t modifying her face at first.

“She may have dissolved some of the filler and I suspect she may have given up on Botox,” he said.
“This could have happened in time for Bridget Jones filming in London.
“It looks like Renée might be trying to look more like Bridget Jones. After all, Bridget Jones has real lips.”
Renée has always denied having had plastic surgery.
Her changing red carpet look has sometimes been a Hollywood affair.
The significant change in her face occurred in 2014.

“I’m happy that people think I’m different! I’m living a different, happier, more fulfilling life, and I’m thrilled that maybe that shows,” she said. People in 2017.
“My friends say I look at peace. I’m healthy,” she added.
ALL CHANGES
Westreich, who has not treated the star, suggested that Renée began cosmetic treatments in 2005.
“In the 90s, Renée seemed to be doing normal things,” he said.
“She wasn’t changing her face at first.
“In 2005, she started getting Botox and some lip fillers, which appears to have increased in 2010.
“The significant change in his face occurred in 2014.”
The Oscar winner took a break from acting in 2010 and studied at UCLA.
Renée resurfaced in 2014 and fans noticed that she looked different, although she denied plastic surgery and eye adjustments.
“Not that it’s anyone’s business, but I haven’t made the decision to alter my face and have eye surgery,” she wrote in a Bouffant post opinion article in 2016.
FIXED UP
“This was a really interesting time because suddenly she had upper eyelids,” Westreich said.
“Renee’s eyes looked really different.
“The strange thing is that a year later, his eyes returned to the old days.
“She may have had a suture technique that makes the upper eyelid fold. It was not a permanent solution.”
After possibly becoming interested in the Direct Sutre Technique, the surgeon stated that Renée may have continued to inject Botox and fillers.
During the 2020 awards season, she hit the red carpet for her role as Judy Garland with silky smooth skin.
ALL THE ANGER
“In 2020, Renée was possibly still getting lip fillers and may have had a skin resurfacing procedure,” Westreich added.
“After that, she still had Botox and a little on her lips, when it was fashionable to have super full lips.
“In 2023, Renée appeared to have had two liquid facelifts.
“After that, it would have been difficult to get rid of everything.”
BETTER THAN NEVER
Renee told Sunday times that she wants to look better as she ages.
“Who’s redefining 50 or 60 without having to say, ‘Hey, look at me with no clothes on and I still look almost as good as I did before?’” she said in 2022.
“I don’t want to be ‘almost what I was’. I want to be a thousand times better!” she added.
Renée rose to fame at age 27 when she won a role opposite Tom Cruise in Jerry Maguire.
On a personal note, Renée had a series of romances with celebrities, including with Jim Carey and Jack White.
