A WOMAN has left social media users speechless after revealing her wardrobe consists of just 12 pieces.

While the rest of the Western world seems too busy with excessive consumerism, Paisley Davis from South Dakota in the US is doing the complete opposite of ordering new items from ASOS and PrettyLittleThing.

Instead of updating your wardrobe once a month like 45% percent of the UK population doesthe nomad switches between the same 12 items in her closet over and over again.

The singleton, who also abandoned her traditional lifestyle to live in a van, recently turned to TikTok to model some of the pieces she regularly wears.

The former chakra and crystalline energy healer, who describes herself as a proud “hippie”, explained that the lack of clothes has a very simple explanation.

”I can’t imagine washing so many clothes!” she laughed in the caption of a more recent video.

Among the items the hot former yoga instructor can be seen sporting on numerous occasions is a cozy striped sweatshirt that she pairs with tiny shorts, as well as a flowy tie-dye vest in bright colors with a tree print in the middle.

Meanwhile, on colder days, she wears the same colorful top with a thin white shirt and cool pants with khaki elements – sometimes replaced by similar pants, but in navy blue.

Describing her aesthetic, the skinny-dipping instructor joked that it looked like she didn’t have a roof over her head.

”I usually call my vibe the homeless look… I’m in shock because people actually like what I wear.”

While some may have difficulty having a limited number of clothes in their wardrobe, Paisley said it suited her van lifestyle perfectly.

“Minimalism is key when living on the road,” she explained, noting that it wasn’t impossible.

”If I can do it, anyone can do it!”

Shocked by its minimalist approach, dozens of people left comments expressing admiration.

One of them laughed: ”I probably have over 3,000 pieces of clothing, I probably keep the same 12 things too.”

Another struggled to understand the limited wardrobe, writing: “I couldn’t even imagine it. I wear 12 different pieces of clothing in the course of a day.”

A third added: “Amazing sense of style, love a Boho capsule wardrobe.”

Is it legal to live in a van?

IF you’re looking to live in a van to save money or travel, you’ll be pleased to know that there are no laws in the UK that stop you.

However, you must ensure that your vehicle has passed its MOT and is completely legal to drive on the roads.

There may also be restrictions on where you can park to sleep in your van.

For example, local authorities impose restrictions on certain streets or locations, and you could be fined if you spend the night there.

It can also be dangerous to stop in certain places, especially at night.

“I live at home and have about 12 pieces of clothing, 1 pair of shoes, I don’t like doing laundry,” a fellow social media user found the clip relatable.

“Damn, this is what I hope to be like one day! ” one viewer was inspired by his hippie ways.

“Simplicity is where it’s at!” another agreed.

Speaking about his experience of living full-time in a van, Paisley said it’s the best way to “travel the world and make all kinds of new friends”.

“I would say I never found my authentic self until I lived in a van full time, humble and free.

”I can’t imagine giving up the freedom I have living this lifestyle.”
