A Love Island beauty has insisted she has found the “most perfect dress” that is giving 90s movie vibes – and it costs less than £50.

Lydia Karakyriakou, who worked at Zara, was full of praise for her former employer over her stunning yellow satin dress.

Trying it on, the 24-year-old influencer said: “Zara providing the most perfect dress.

“How to lose a guy in 10 days, dress inspo.

“Run to the girls Zara.”

Lydia kept her look elegant with a slicked back bun, pearl earrings and an embellished white bag.

The yellow asymmetrical satin dress costs £49.99 and comes in sizes extra small to large.

Zara bosses describe it as an idi dress with an asymmetrical neckline, wide knotted strap at the back, fitted waist and invisible side zip.

And it definitely bears a striking resemblance to the iconic How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days dress.

In the ’90s film, Kate Hudson stars as jaded magazine columnist Andie Anderson, who falls in love with marketing executive Benjamin Barry, played by Matthew McConaughey.

And while the film itself remains a romantic comedy classic to this day, it’s the yellow satin dress worn by Andie to a gala that has gone down in fashion history.

The sunset yellow dress by Carolina Herrera boasted a low criss-cross style in the back.

‘I fell in love with 2 Zara dresses’, says fashion fan and they are perfect for special occasions

After its release in 2003, we’re sure every teenage girl was desperate to copy the yellow prom dress look.

So it’s not surprising that fashion fans can’t get enough of Zara’s Andi Anderson-inspired dress.

“So cuuuuute,” gushed one.

A second wrote: “This is so beautiful.”

A third chimed in: “Looking at possible bridesmaids dresses and this could be perfect.”

“It’s a NECESSITY”, insisted a fourth.

Meanwhile, a fifth said: “Nah I’m obsessed!!”

TV beauty Lydia quit her job at retailer Zara to join Love Island as a “bombshell” in February last year.

She had a mini romance with football player Tom Clare, but was unable to make the bond last.

The Glaswegian’s stint in the second villa, Casa Amor, lasted just four days before she was booted from the hit show.

Since then, she has starred in the BBC’s glamorous fly-on-the-wall show The Agency: Unfiltered, which follows the day-to-day lives of the Aquarius Creative team and their roster of high-profile clients.

Now Lydia has moved to Manchester and continues recording her podcast, Life With Lydia.

She has been overwhelmed by the response to her show, in which she talks about her life and reveals details of her dating successes and failures, and hopes it will now grow and possibly even start filming.

Why is Zara so popular?

Zara was founded in 1975 in Spain and the first UK store opened in 1998. It remains one of the most popular stores on the high street, but why?

Instead of producing more quantities of a style, Zara is said to focus on producing more styles.

Some statistics suggest that Zara launches 24 trend-led collections every year, 500 designs per week and almost 20,000 per year. Other estimates put its production levels at 450 million garments per year.

Even if a style sells out very quickly, there are new styles waiting to take its place. This means more options and greater chances of getting it right with the consumer.

Zara only allows its designs to remain on the factory floor for three to four weeks, which leads the consumer to continue visiting the store or website, as if it were delayed by just one week, clothes of a certain style or trend would be sold out and replaced by a new trend.

At the same time, this constant updating of the lines and styles of its stores also encourages customers to visit its stores more frequently.
