A CANARY-shaped clutch bag has become a must-have summer accessory – costing £600.
The fashion craze with bright yellow feathers is flying off the shelves, despite fans having to shell a large part of their eggs.
At just 16 cm wide and 10 cm deep, it barely fits a pack of cigarettes, let alone a cell phone.
Brand JW Anderson adds that the bag can only be cleaned with a “dry cloth”.
The contents are accessed by lifting the bird’s wing – and it doesn’t come with a handle, meaning its proud owners have to sit with the bird in their hand.
Selfridges reports low stock, while designer JW Anderson’s official website is sold out.
One website is charging almost £1,000.
It comes after Queen’s Gambit star Anya Taylor-Joy, 28, was spotted carrying one at this year’s Wimbledon women’s singles final.
The designers of the bird bag previously released a pigeon-shaped bag, which still retails for £650.
Sex and the City star Sarah Jessica Parker carried one – in a big coo to the designers.
